I talked with dodgetomahawk quite a bit about that conversion. That 4g headlight conversion cost about $6k. It's a LOT more than just cutting the fenders for the lights. The cut fender edges need to be rolled, and the lights don't mount properly, so there was fab work for that also. The grill was then chopped to fit the inside angle of the lights. The bumper cap was reworked to match the bottom of the lights as well. That's a hell of a lot of work. And money.

Just for some different lights.

I need to find someone that wants to spend 6K on lights...........

But, its a lot more than just lights here - yeah, its focused on the lights, but a lot more involved. AND, damn freakin' sweet.

Well the hood would be a gloss black as it is now so the cheap way would be to go with the gloss black.... BUT I would love it to be in matte black if the price was right.

Thats a lot of work truckin, I like the 05 lights my self, but too integrate them into a o6 grill, whew! That would be a chore, It's been done, but still a chore. If you got that route would you consider a rear tilt hood? Figure what the hell, right?

Nah Im just going to go with the 05' style grille and call it a day. Still need to make a few calls to find out how much it cost to do what I want. The clear coat + matte black I have heard they have issues with. but the gloss black they should be alright with. I just cant see it costing to to much with the little amount of paint that will be needed.

Going to go look at it next weekend to see if I want to pull the trigger and get it or back out.

Now what would be cool, but a lot of work, would be to get the 06' style grille shell, cut the inside out of it and mold it into the 05' style grille shell.... but that more than I want to really do.

Yeah I know that much, but its the mixing of the clear for the silver and the clear for the matte that someone had an issue with.

All silver is lame... It looses its look with to much of it, needs something to really make it pop back at you.
