hey guys, been on the forum for a while back when i had my 3rd gen, sold it to get rid of payments 9 or 10 months ago, well now i'm back in a ram only its a 2nd gen this time. its a 99 4x4 5 speed with the 318 and 184000 miles, just got it on friday. i few pics of when i first picked it up and then when i switched out tires (already had a set of brand new 285/75/16) and got rid of the steps and tried to clean it up a bit. needs buffed pretty bad, previous owner nearly never washed the outside of this and has some kind of whiteish film on it. took some of my spray wax and rubbed on it and it came off and looked fairly good just need to do the whole truck now

Welcome back man and nice truck!
Are you sure the film coming up isn't the clear coat?

yeah im sure because if i take my finger and rub on it real good it comes off but the clear coat stays, although there is no more clear coat on the hood. i took some spray wax and wiped on one part of the bed and it all came off and really shined it up, just need to use the buffer to do the whole truck

Yeah, sounds like a compound and buff is in order here, simply because anything else would take too long to clean it up. :roflsquared::roflsquared:

I really wanted to kill the old tires last night but there was several reasons that didn't happen. Weather and lack of camera operating crew being the 2 biggest reasons. Burnouts in the rain are no fun!! Haha

Sadness. :(
