Possibly. Wouldn't hurt to get her out on the highway for a bit and get her up to temp for an extended period of time... That could confirm your suspicions.

I'd throw some seafoam in it prior to the trip and then change the oil after.

Nope, water pump wouldn't cause that.

Didn't you find a coolant leak around the water pump recently? Short drives will leave junk under the cap. I too only drive it for short trips and found that junk under the oil cap, that's why I added an oil catch can to the PCV system. Check out my write up on the DIY section.

Ok and put some sea foam in the oil?

I always do about 100 miles before an oil change. Clean her out a bit before some fresh oil.

Yeah that’s why I had bought the water pump also around the gasket looks really wet so I want to just change it but I realized right next to the head I see it wet I degreased all of it off but I see it’s back

Check your oil level but I usually go the whole bottle. As long as your oil level isn't too high it won't affect anything.

I always seen everybody with the catch can and I always wondered what it is I’m guessing to catch excess oil in the system

So there's oil particles in the vapor which usually get recycled into the intake via the pcv line. It just catches the oil.

I don't have one on the ram but I used to run them when I was in the import scene. You van find them at any performance shop and online. EBay, Summit, etc...
