4.7 mileage

I would love to drive this truck daily but the mileage screams no.

What's the best mileage you can get out of one of these, is there any tricks? I'm averaging about 14 ~ 15

I already have a thread on this topic. 4.7L owners I would like know how you are doing in regards to mpg

from the feedback I have received you are actually in the better range.

I barely get 10mpg but I do a lot of city driving. On the highway I can get up to 14 but I have got to have the wind to my back...

Man that sucks. My Hemi gets better than that. Didn't know the 4.7 was that bad.

It's actually gets worst as mileage increases. And yes the 5.7 hemi gets much better MPG's as it works less hard just to move the 2.5 tons of steels these darn things are built out of...

I'm actually waiting to see how well my truck will fair out during this Winter and based on the results I might just swap my ride for a newer model year and a HEMI under the hood.

Yeah they are kinda bad in several ways (4.7's). If I would have researched previous to buying it I wouldn't own it LOL.

One good thing, they seem to have a good HP to Cube ratio, mine is pretty quick.
