My understanding is the RAM 6.4 version has a revised PCV system that negates the need for an oil catch can.

The 6.4L uses an internal PCV system and while it won't negate the need, it makes it a bit harder to install one. You have to find a way to access both ends of the PCV system to install a tap and T it so you can run the system through an exterior catch can.

I've seen it done on the internal PCV system found on some 5.7L 3rd gen trucks (06 - 08 I believe) but I can't seem to find the information nor do I know if it's relevant to how you'd do it on the 6.4L truck engine.

So the 6.4 PCV vents back to the crank case ?
If it's not venting to the air intake maybe there's not a real need for a catch can ?
Trust me , I'm a huge advocate for an oil catch can on the 4th Gen 5.7s , just can't let oil from the PCV dump into my intake .

A good read : www.oilcatchcan.com

I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to see if anyone has seen or come across an oil separator for the 6.4L engine? If so, is there a version that fits the 2500/3500 class HD truck?
