Best use of $1500

Looking for ideas, recomendations and suggestions for bolt on power mods for my '99 5.9L. Don't want to go into the engine any further than intake manifold. What would be best first, etc. $1500 is semi-flexible. Thanks for any ideas.

Underdrive pullys, M1, new CAI, clutch fan deleate, add an e fan, ditch the stock y pipe... Take your pick, mix and match. Not going to make night and day power unless you get into the motor.

my 98 5.9 had a great boost after a programmer. They underpowered them horribly from the factory. That would be first for me. Then header and full exhaust with a magnaflow muffler.

What kind of truck is it ?

How will it be used?

What is its current mileage?

But the biggest power making mod is a tuner. With SCT, I can just plain outperform any other programmer on the market. 2nd biggest power making mod is a set of 1.7 rockers. Both of those add good hp/tq from start to finish of the rpm curve.

I don't know if I'd recommend an m1 on a Ram if that's what you have. The Dakotas utilize it pretty good.

SCT, headers, and exhaust if there is money left over the 1.7 rockers. That will be your best bang for the buck w/o getin into the motor.
