Thanks for the reference on the lights. Ordered them Tuesday should be here today. Any tips to make install easier or more reliable.

DIY retrofit or painting of headlights ?

So is it possible to do this by your self or had a switchback or paint them without ruining them I don't want to spend the 800 900 for retrofit lights when I just want to paint mine and maybe had a switchback or something anyone done this on there own

its very possible to do it yourself, if you have oem projectors its a higher risk, simply because if you screw up its an easy $500+ fix to just replace your lights, and then if you get em for $500 because you made a mistake add that to the $400 in retrofit parts you bought and you are back at or even past a grand, so it just will vary on how confident you are in being able to do it

Like demon said, very possible.

It can come out nice on the cheap side but I would only reccomend doing it yourself if you have an extra set ready to throw on just in case.

If you do it...TAKE YOUR TIME.

Well. One army projectors they are quads and I would love to paint them black and just put the switchboards in it and if not just paint them and I would be happy

if they are the quads, there are aftermarket black housing headlights available for rather cheap and then just add the switchbacks

well they make an OEM black housing quad, obviously cost is more, but its OEM, otherwise you can go aftermarket and get options like clear corners ect. (my preference every time since i HATE amber reflectors)

the ones i put in a link above are nice quality lights, i have two sets laying around, so if you like the looks of them they would be the way to go.

if you are just wanting a black OEM style headlight with a switchback installed, then when it comes to lights, you can look through your other headlight thread where others and myself gave you a few different options that will work for you, then just pick a bulb and add a resistor because the switchback bulb will be LED and the resistor makes the truck accept the LED

if you want to paint your existing lights, it's not hard. I'm sure there is a diy on here and definitely videos on youtube on how to bake the lights to open them up.
