Right!

On the fogs, those are cake man, bulb is accessible, very easy. Just reach up and twist her out.

Okay cool never looked just figured they were a PITA too.

From the OM

I'm working up the "gumption" to change out my factory bulbs and tap into the high-beam wire so I can set up my fogs to work on high-beam too. After reading all the posts, opinions and suggestions, I checked my OM and found the suggested procedure from RAM. It sounds pretty straightforeward, but I'll have to wait until our "stupid" Wisconsin weather improves before proceeding.

BULB REPLACEMENT
Dual Or Quad Headlamp/Front Park And Turn
Signal — If Equipped
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the four plastic push-in fasteners that secure
the upper radiator seal to the grille support and both
fender ledges.
4. Remove the two plastic push-in rivets that secure the
upper radiator seal to the radiator.
5. Remove the upper radiator seal from the vehicle.
6. Remove the two headlamp assembly attachment
screws.
7. Reach into the front wheel house ahead of the front
wheel, remove the fastener, and lift the cover over the
access hole in the front of the wheel house splash shield.
Access to the rear of the lamp can be gained through this
access hole.8. Reach through the access hole of the wheel house
splash shield and lift the slide lock upward far enough to
disengage it from the lock post on the back of the front
lamp unit housing.
9. Remove the headlamp assembly. Grasp the outboard
edge of the lamp and pull it straight forward to disengage
the ball stud from the plastic grommet.
10. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the
bulb socket.
11. Replace bulb(s) as necessary.
CAUTION!
• Do not contaminate the bulb glass by touching it
with your fingers or by allowing it to contact other
oily surfaces. Shortened bulb life will result.
• Always use the correct bulb size and type for
replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may
overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the bulb
socket, or the lamp wiring.
NOTE: There are access covers over both headlamp
bulb access holes in the quad front lamp unit housing (if
equipped). These covers MUST be reinstalled after the
bulb has been replaced.

Sorry to bring an old post back to life, used it to get my headlight out. Anyone know a part # for that clip behind the headlight? Haha, I guess I pulled too hard!

No but they can find it at the dealer. It's like $3.50. I know I broke one taking it out. Then I broke the new one putting it back in. Sucked. I bought from 2 dealers and they both had it for the same price.

Awesome, thanks. Looks like a dealer run tomorrow. Same part for each side?

All that is not necessary!

1. Pull the plastic clip (left and right side of plastic shroud thing) just one on outter edge left and right
2. Put some 3M blue tape on body paint around headlight housing.
3. With a long extension 12" or longer you can reach that ******* bolt! Put piece of tape across the socket, and the bolt will stay in it. Also helps to hold it on end of socket when putting back in.
4. The other bolt is easy.

Can do less then 10mins

Congrats to all who can get their headlights out without removing the grill. I finally summoned the gumption to replace my factory H13s with Philips 9008 CrystalVision Ultras. The reviews were good and the price was right.

I followed the instructions and felt confident until I couldn't see a way to get the clear plastic tabs around the grill without possibly breaking something. After removing the four grill screws, I wiggled the grill a little and it popped right off.

The new bulbs seem whiter and I can't wait for dark tonight to see the improvement. Thanks to all who have offered suggestions and cautions. They are appreciated!

This definitely helped when I switched out my lights. Nice write-up.

Thanks for the info!.. This worked out well on my 2013 2500 Ram replacing it's weak headlight bulbs... What I'm sadden about the price we pay for vehicles like these yet they install cheap components. My lights were always a dingy yellow glow .. could not hardly see down the road not to mention on the road sides.. After installing the new higher power white light bulbs in my truck ... What a difference it made! ..

I use a small flathead screwdriver and when depressing the tab, I use the screwdriver to gently move that plug.
