I keep trying to put them in but they won't lock. Is the red cover necessary to remove? Cause I can't seem to get it off and I don't wanna break it.

If they just slide in then I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for all the assistance and pictures!

Yes, the red TPA (terminal position assurance) lock will have to come out. Correct Pin orientation is important also. I sent the email to you with the related files. Here is a general reference from that molex connector install sheet for how to service the TPA and Terminals. (I will add it to my previous post also).

I just went back and added the extra info to post 26 for the radio connector pins since it was already linked.
(I think I originally referenced the molex assembly sheet somewhere in the 8.4 conversion harness thread; it's the 8pin to the bezel)

What's your status Sir ? I trust you were able to complete the install at the back of the radio ?

YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

I finally got the locking clip to release and populated the 3 wires. It did not want to release but I finally figured it out.

I still have to get the truck coded at the dealer to see if everything is working. Sadly it will be weeks before I get a chance to go get it done.

Thanks again for everything and without those pictures I would have installed it all backwards.

I could have sworn I saw it here somewhere but now I can't find it. Does anybody have the p/n for the pins used in the 52 pin radio connector?

Give me a minute...
From post 914 for DannyMk2's special case partial camera harness ...
(Note, he spoke with OBD Genie folks about enabling the backup cam with grids lines and the word is that they hope to have it added within a week. Apparently dealers in NY are a PiTa to deal with)

Here are the female connector sockets we need to see about sourcing a vendor for that's not too $$...

Inline-Body/IP (foot Well) - "mopar pn's"
68316923AA - 20ga (1.5mm sockets)
or 68316925AA - 18ga

EDIT: After digging through the Yazaki YESC catalog (Hybrid Connectors), this appears to be the "Inline-Body/IP" ...
- Female Connector Housing (Polarity A/Black), Yazaki PN: 7283-4190-30 (edit: Yep)

- Female 1.5mm Sockets (22-20Awg), Yazaki PN: 7116-4100-02 (Au: -08) or 7116-4780-02 (Sn)
- Female 1.5mm Sockets (18-16Awg), Yazaki PN: 7116-4101-02 (Au: -08) or 7116-4781-02 (Sn)

Looking back over my Jeepguy Harness notes/schematic, 7116-4100-02 is the same pn as the i315 footwell connector for the 1500's.

Radio/C1 pins (Tyco/TE Connectivity Pn's)
- 638551-3 (0.64mm sockets) @ Mouser

Attached pictures of the edited "jeepguy style" harness schematic and the actual 70" Harness segment to the radio DannyMk2 needed ... Now for him to install and check.

Here's a better Resolution DL for the schematic...

Thanks Mike, you're the man!

What's Danny trying to get working? Just turning on the backup cam? Depending on where in NY he is I might be close and able to help out.

Yes, he just needs to get the camera turned on.
He is somewhere around NYC/Long Island area I think. It would be great if you could help him out with enabling the oem backup camera codes. Several dealers in his area are giving him all kind of bs reasons when he calls about it.

He is only missing the last segment of the factory harness to the radio which I sent him already.

Shoot him a pm.

I agree. Not to get too off-topic (or too sentimental), but my first car was a Dodge Intrepid. I still have it, but it hasn't been on the road in years. It was pretty light on options, but I added a ton of factory stuff you never could have bought that model with, largely with the help of a forum I was on. More important than the help I received was the people I met there. To this day, they're some of my closest friends and I get together with them at least once a year. Since then I've had several other Mopars (Challenger, 3 Jeeps, and the 300 SRT I have now) and been on multiple forums, but never really felt the same genuine helpfulness and camaraderie that I do here. I'm not sure exactly what it is about this forum, but I'm happy to be a part of it.

I'm pretty sure I speak for many when I say we are glad to have someone like you here Sir !

I've been on many forms over the past 5+ years ( most not automotive ) but I certinly do see the camaraderie here more so than any other forums I've been a part of .

I got the camera enabled on my 2015. When I bought my truck the tailgate was missing. The tailgate I bought from a salvage yard has the camera in it. I need to add the wiring in between. Does someone have access to schematics I'd like to build the harness.

My apologies I just seen the above post. :favorites13:

See Mpgrimm2 's post # 10 here . I'm sure you will be able to figure it out with some research .

@Adum12 ,

Being an electrician, you could certinly pull this off quite easily imo , so long as your soldering skills are good .

Questions for you .

1) does your locking tailgate work ?

2) what type radio do you have ?

3) are sockets 31 , 32 & 33 currently populated @ the trucks harness C-1 Radio connector behind the radio ?
