Yay, first post. Might as well be here right? This here is Renee, she is a 2001 1500 5.9 and I've had her for about a month. I got her for 7800 and she has 86k miles on her. The very first thing I plan on doing is taking off those ugly a** things on the fender and hood.

WHat kind of headlights are those? Can you post a link to where you got them?

Those are 98+ Ram Sport Headlights.
You can get them from Amazon (that's where I got the set on my Dad's truck).

They are reasonably prices, and typically come with the harness to make them work for a factory dual headlight truck. I of course make my own harness with relays etc.

The sport headlights changed in 99. In 99 they went to a dual bulb setup. You can get adapters to go back to single lights. So any 99-01 sport headlights should plug right up no adapters.

Removed the factory molded running boards and installed fender flares, put on the summer wheels, washed it, gave it a second coat of wax.

Finally got the ram home the other day. 98 Laramie. Been sitting for about a year. Water pump siezed on the way home last week. Had it replaced and everything seems to be running great now. Need to replace the power steering pressure line, but that's no big deal.





Cleaned up a lot nicer than I thought it would




Since I was already washing vehicles, I cleaned up my little 06 Acura RSX Type S to get a pic of them together.



Oh, and if anyone is curious how I turned that sun grayed black plastic on the bumper (and everywhere else) back to black it was Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Protect. That's some great stuff.

1998 laramie slt, 5.2 L V8


Bought this Saturday. $800 my first truck. 240000 miles, zero oil leak. Tranny atf pan looks moist but havent noticed a drop yet. Spent a hefty 99 cent to replace a freeze plug, . no engine codes. Abs/brake light on, it all appears its the typical speed sensor at rear diff. Body damage at the pass side, bed, rear door replaced with a different color. Squeaky belt tensioner.
