They are the same:
Tuning H1 V3 with Mini H1 Shrouds - # Proj-H1-V3-PR-MiniGG from DDM.
55W Ballasts & Ultra H1, 4500K Bulbs from DDM. I do have lots of light

It requires considerable modification and adjustments - that's why they get $1000.00 to do the complete job. Lucky me, my son is an expert at it.
very nice job looks OEM nice job. :banana-mario:

FINALLY!!! Headlights are done.
Drove 2 hrs after work to Evolution Motorsports and had them wired up to the truck. Install took almost 4 hrs.
Worth every minute.

Very happy with the final product.

Didn't get home until 1am but did get 2 hrs of darkness to drive and test these out.
The low beams are WAY brighter than the OEM brights. When i turn on the LED high beams its as if the sun is bolted to my front bumper. Love it.

**Small issue with wiring the high beams to function as my DRL. If just my DRL's are on the high beams flicker. When lights are fully on there is no issue. Got a different harness coming in the hopes of fixing this issue.

Looking forward to getting the Morimoto fog lights installed this weekend. Will get some better photos once finished.

These hi-lense led's need a full 12v's to operate. Drl's is only designed to put out 7.4v. The Hi-Lense does have a drl feed that uses kinda a demon eye feature.

Can you explain a bit more? Personally I dont know the first thing about this stuff. Hoping Rob at Evolution can set me up. I'll pass on any info.

Would be great to have my auto lights feature work correctly.

If you have your drl's set as high beams either programmed from the factory or dealer or alphaobd the output voltage to the drl is only 7.4v. Voltage Maybe different if set as low beams or turn/park. The Hi-Lense Led projectors need 12v+ to work. When I bench tested mine they did the same thing, they flickered because my power supply didn't put out an actual 12v's. Once I hooked them up to a battery they worked fine. The Hi-Lense Led projectors have a built-in drl option. Coming out of the wiring for them there is a white/black (power/negative) for the projectors themselves and a red wire for the drl function which is like a demon eye appearance output. I don't think I tested that on the bench but I believe that doesn't need 12v's to properly function. I used that option while I was waiting for some parts to fix my headlights I built.

So if you have drl's enabled you may have to use the drl feature for them to properly work or if they wired them to come on as drl's they will have to find a different power source.

Another possibility is using alphaobd to change your drl lighting to led if you are using the "factory" drl option

I just switched my DRL to my turn signals...trying to get power to the red wire out of the Hi-Lens and where to "tap in" I don't want to really hook into any OEM harness to do it.

When I finally installed my head lights, the Hi-Lens flickered like a strobe light because of the difference in the voltage when it was set to DRL. I think I posted a video of it.

The lights look great!!! Very well done. What shrouds did you choose for the projectors?

Thanks guys appreciate the feedback.

Cant say I'm too impressed with the fit of the fogs. The drivers side one seems to be ok, but the gap on the passenger side is almost 3/4"
I'll need to stuff some weather stripping in there so it looks decent and doesn't just collect debris.

Might try and fit the bumper again. Those gaps just bother me so much.

And since I had a can of color match paint (PXR) laying around I thought I'd try something new with my emblem.

Bringing this back from the dead to see if someone else can help with an issue I've been having with one of the headlights.

The passenger side headlight (low beam) has been finicky. Doesn't turn on all the time. Seems to just work when ever it wants. I'm basically driving around with a burnt out bulb 60% of the time. Recently put in a new H1 bulb and this did not fix the issue. Did check all of the connections when I had the headlight out.

Starting to think the Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 projector has a problem.
Interested to know if anyone else has had this problem and if there was a fix? (i have a technical support email into the company i purchased these from)

The headlights have 30,000km on them since install over the 3-4 years I've had them. Figured they should've lasted longer than this.

If you have one bulb that isn't lighting off consistently, the issue is likely the ballast, not the bulb.

After going down a YouTube rabbit hole, I've come to this conclusion too. Will need to diagnose a bit more and swap out any part that's not working. The one headlight thing is very annoying.

and almost 1 year later I have fixed the issue. Nice to have both head lights working now.

Turns out the Morimoto Controller had a bad relay in it. Nice that the $80 part fixed it.
Crappy that i replaced $200 worth of parts before getting to that.

Other issue that popped up is that the clips on my RH signal light plug is busted and it doesn't stay on now. Need to get a pig tail off another truck and wire that in.

Always something....

My #2 son bought a 2017 2500 with the quads, I've got an itch to build another set of projector retro fits again.

If I could go back and do this again, I would pony up for the Morimoto complete units. For me the hassle of these light has not been worth the extra cash.

My only problem is the LEDs don't produce enough heat with the light on to unthaw the headlights during the winter. That's why I like HIDs in combo with LED highs.
