Why did that focus group miss something like this? Should we call them a not so focus group? Man, droptail product, coolest thing I have seen in a while. I bet this will give you more MPG then thin oil. Spoiler position, I love it. Now that I think about it, is my tailgate the reason my back tires went bald before the fronts? Part of it? A lot of downforce on a tailgate in the up position.

It markets itself as fuel economy gains, but no testing. It makes sense gas mileage might go up, and it would be pretty damn easy to figure that out. I wish they put some paper out on that.

Step right up folks! Read all about it.............

https://ngksparkplugs.com/en/products/ignition-parts/spark-plugs/ruthenium-spark-plugs

This is why "Iridium = Good" is not sound engineering application decision. Iridium has poorer flame front than either nickel or platinum. Just because it "lasts longer" is a one-dimensional criteria for selection.

This said, the quest for ultratanium has produced ruthenium coating, which delivers all the spark of nickel, and beyond the life of iridium - only for 10 times the price. *rolls eyes*

I was all set to change out the stock iridium to platinum until somebody reminded me all the timing & fueling parameters were developed for iridium. Dammit!

I couldn't tell when the ball dropped, my neighbors were shooting their guns starting at like 7pm on. It sounded like a war over here last night. I new it was new years when I finally heard silence.

I thought about this a lot before I sprang & bought it. I can't say I've tested it - I just put the truck back in the house garage when done. It's been snowing here ever since.

When I reviewed the design, Banks thought about this aspect quite a bit - none of the cover hangs down any lower than the stock axle housing, same as with the stock cover. All they've done is extend the lower radii of the cover to stick out from the sides of the housing to pick up cooling airflow. Could these edges get hit by a rock? I suppose, but it's still tucked up pretty good in the chassis. The casting is aluminum, but appears to be a die-casting, with very low porosity = strong.

If an air scoop corner did break off, the rest of the casting still seals the housing with the 14 cover bolts and a milled-grove o-ring face seal. It's a top-quality design. Go to bankspower.com and read about it.

I bought it more for the CFD internal directional flow bearing lubrication than for the CHT cooling, as I don't tow heavy loads in the upper half of GCVWR.
Why read about it when you can watch the development process?
