Jacked the truck up today to check my front end parts and maybe narrow down the noise.

On a solid front axle, a give away sign of a bad ball joint is a 12-6 movement of the wheel. I had none at all, the wheel wouldn't budge.

I also checked the tie rod ends for movement and play at all, and had none.

The only front end part left is the axle u-joints, so my front drivers side u-joint sounds like it will be needing replacing... joy...

It's not as bad as you think. I wouldn't ever get anything else anymore. I love my quadcab longbed.

I ordered a TruXedo TruxPort roll up tonneau cover today. I got a Bully locking tailgate handle as well. Anyone used one before?

I will be picking up a UPol Raptor bedliner kit in the next few days to go with it!

It is exactly that... us 3rd Gen guys don't have the fancy technology and didn't get a tailgate lock from the factory.

Yea, it sucks. Fortunately, the part is only $18 lol. We are taking the truck on vacation this year, so this is the main reason for it.

That makes since, that would be quite a drive. Sounds great!

Met up with Tony tonight... ate some pizza and handed over some oil. The 35s he just put on his truck really made it look huge next to mine lol




Then went and filled up the truck... Price was good!

Heck yea! The threads don't match up perfectly, so at the moment, it is just kinda forced on there, but is very solid and will work like that no problem. I am going to figure out the threads on each and get an adapter so it fits better.
