Went and bought a few new drill bits to do the bags this weekend. I killed all of mine while doing the c-notch, by the time I was done they wouldn't go through anything. While I was there, I picked up a few cans of chassis paint, some wire wheels and brushes and some flap wheels to get the frame nice and cleaned up while the bed is off.

squirting penetrating oil helps lengthen the lives of drill bits....when in use.

Found a truck exactly like mine but wrecked at a salvage yard. Had better interior. I traded my entire interior out with that truck and gave them my old, but well taken care of seats. I now have the split backseat that folds up separately instead of the solid one. As well as the center console with the extra compartment near the floor. I also originally had manual seats but the plug was there for electric. That truck had electric front seats and they worked in my truck as soon as I plugged them in. I'm pretty pleased with the set up.

Oh and my 7" maxtrac lift arrived today. I'm excited...

Got the Monstaliner samples in the mail and sat and found the color that most closely matches my truck. This will be done in a couple weeks.

gonna get some pesky rust spots taken care of ....have to stay on top of it otherwise it gets worse in a hurry, specially with the corrosive **** they use nowadays.

I had big plans for today, but they involved taking the bed back off the truck. Called the kids to come help ke, but they couldn't make it until this evening around 5:30, so I'm sitting here waiting patiently.

Finished all the little tidy ups on the air bag install.

Scrubbed down the back of the frame and gave it a coat of paint.

Put the bed back on, leaving off the bumper and stock hitch because I'm installing a roll pan. Decide that it wasn't worth the time or effort to figure out how to light the license plate temporarily. I don't have to drive the truck after dark. I actually don't have to drive it at all if I don't want to. But I do enjoy driving it.

Okay, all I actually did was drive it to the dealer, but got the whole rear diff rebuilt due to the P77 Pinion Nut recall, and also a new driver's airbag under R25. Much happier and calmer now that my diff isn't howling like a banshee.
