What did you do to your Gen3 today?

I installed the rear bumper today - plastic (still need to paint)

first pics of old bumper off but not cleaned
then bumper on & the bolted down.

rain is cooling her down right now.

Painted all the plastic bumper parts im going to use on my truck.
& installed the rear bumper plastic so the rear bumper is done.

& comparing old to painted one.

also filled truck with fuel - reg is down to $0.989/liter

Took off the front bumper - Just FYI that the brackets from the 2006 & up don't fit the 03 - 05 trucks, so I will be swapping the brackets over. & yes the chrome bumper is that same.

Also raised the rear of the truck to see how much of a c-notch I need.

Changed the oil to Royal Purple, and placed a K&N drop in air filter. Let the tune up continue.

picked up some winter tires - Multi Mile Wild Country XTX Sport - only 3 though.

Cleaned up the battery terminals with digitals, these things are heavy and stout, very impressed with the quality. Had already added a billet holder.

Installed bumper, should have the plastic installed tomorrow.

picked up some winter tires - Multi Mile Wild Country XTX Sport - only 3 though.

Those are awesome tires. I have them on my 2005. They have 49k on them and still look practically new.

Been a while, but since I've been gone:

Replaced the left outer tie rod end and freed up every bushing bolt for a proper dead on alignment, including the factory strut bolt.

Lost park lights, narrowed it down to the TIPM. Have an electronics co-worker who helped me dissemble it and repaired the integrated relay circuit that got some green death in the pins along with some other potential future issues.

Got to work one day and noticed the temp spiked at 230F. New thermostat and rad cap fixed that quick on my lunch break.

Gave the truck a bath and a good cleaning around the door seals and jambs after. Going out to the desert and getting caught in sand storms left a lot of sand stuck in the seals. I really need to just pull the upper jamb seals off to really get in there and clean them. Next time.

Sure wish Dodge hadn't had their collective heads up their asses when they designed the 3rd gen doors and had made them like the 4th gens the first time around...
