Big piece on the dash finally gave out... had to order a new one from LMC and bit the $280 bullet. Anybody know how to replace the dash?

That's quite a bit of money there. From what I've seen so far you will need a panel puller and a 7 or 10 mm socket. Chrysler likes to put lots of screws and bolts on these trucks. As far as how to do it check this site some one may have done it already or if not try you tube. It's helped me a whole lot. :happy107:

I'll bet they meant anti-lock brakes in the rear and standard in the front...

My truck is this way.

Seems as though that was the case as I just checked underneath while I was removing my step rails. Discs on all 4. This is a good thing because now I can just buy a 4 wheel kit! Whoohoo!

i would be EXTREMELY scared for how that truck was maintained if the previous owner turned a wrench on that truck and truly believed that there are drums on the front of any vehicle and disk on the back!

Previous owner was my grandpa. He's never turned a wrench on any of his cars, let alone his truck. I lucked out because he had bought it in 2005 and had only put 28,000 on it. My odometer currently reads 29,500. I've only been able to drive it outright for the last month.

It was all stock until I got my hands on it. Even now I haven't done much to it... she drives nice and is now due for an oil change. I think I'm gonna put synthetic into her, she deserves it!

Don't know if you can tell by the pics but to me under the truck looks like a slight upward angle on the flange, maybe the driveshaft is bent, gonna throw some gear oil in just to get a couple miles down the road to the dump and see how it goes, got a little loud driving before I parked it hopefully just from low fluid and not dmg.

Looks like you also have a bad seal that needs replacing.

Yes, that's why i parked it plus needing other work, thinking it's from the driveshaft moving the flange up and down and I would also think it would put strain on the bearings.

Forgot to add that it's also a fairly new seal, already had new pinion bearings and seal put in.

That's what it looks like to me as well, but if the truck has been lifted or if the truck got a little hung up off road then it could be more than a seal.

No was just a daily this winter, didn't get to wheel it yet, it's definitely the seal, gear oil is dripping from the flange and covered surrounding areas, gas tank, bottom of the bed, exhaust. I hope to find a bigger torque wrench to see where the pinion nut is set and try to get it back there after I change the seal, or maybe it will hold fluid long enough to get to the garage that changed it if the seal is still warrantied.
