Thank's Red, I'm actually looking at some options to try and hide the wiring, but I do want to maintain the ability to remove the tablet whenever I want or need to.

It is simply tucked in under the storage compartment's upper lip and holding the underside through a homemade bracket that slides between the lower compartment and the fascia.

Sometimes the most simple ideas are the most efficients

Installed winter tires, re-installed factory TB Baffle. NOw I'm hearing a grinding noise in the left front wheel... Don't remember hearing it before I changed the tires. I might just swap the 2 front wheels to see if the noise follows the tire. If not I guess I'm in for a wheel bearing... Darnet!

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping this is the right place for this question.

I know there are as many opinions as there are mods but I would like to get some help and advice.

I have a 2005 2500 long bed 5.9. I have only put a K&N air intake on it as far as engine mods. It has 6 " lift and I'm running 35's in it at the moment. I'm about to sort of redo the truck. Going with 37's, road armor bumpers, the rest I want to do to the engine.

I've been looking at a 5" exhaust, manifold, injectors and a turbo. My goal is more HP, torque and hopefully some better Milage I'm currently getting about 18-19 mpg. The engine has 73052 miles on it.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!

Not yet have not the chance to swap the wheels yet. Will do that later today after work. But I'm pretty sure it's the tire as the sound does not change when cornering... but I might be wrong. We'll see.

If it is tire noises I am not very worried unless someone tells me that it means the tire is coming apart...

2wds were suspect....not so much w/ the 4wd.

New shocks. When with Monroe sensa trac shocks (without the spring loaded rears). Got my truck with 82k miles on it, and I can tell you the shocks were BAD. Didn't realize it until after the new shocks. Every bump made the truck bounce, and I had the horrible gas sloshing in the gas tank issue (36 gallon tank) that would violently shake the entire truck. After the new shocks it seems to have smoothed that out.

Do you have a part number for the 5100's? (4wd?)

no,

moe's performance had a search engine.....that, hooked me up.:)

Do you have a 4wd? If so, did you have any issues with the cv shafts?

Why didn't you go with the matching rear shocks? (Price?)

not yet, but the angle of the drive rod(s) is more than I would like to be honest.

definately price.....sensor tracs were a quality item at half the price.............althou the bilsteins have done a wonderful job......given the choice I think a standard level might be easier on the cv joints, but at this writing I am still happy with my choice.
