I thought the AC condenser circulates with the defrost setting or any combination with defrost?

If you just have it on floor or vent it would not circulate.
^^^ this is correct, anytime the air is directed to the front window defroster the AC is turned on. For any other setting, you have to turn the AC on.

I just wonder how long it's going to take before I quit trying to put it in park with my coffee cup...
That rotary shifter is odd!
It took me about a year. Every once in a while, I still get it slammed into park when maneuvering in parking lots sometimes. It makes me feel like a bobble-head doll.

Took me a couple of months to make it feel automatic.

Nowadays, I automatically reach up to turn the radio up in my wife's Kia Soul whenever I leave "Park" in that thing...

My work vehicle is a AWD Charger with a hemi.....so it feels similar inside to my truck. I reach for the dash all the time to put it in gear.

I guess the vertical back window doesn't help when temps are in the teens, completely frosted over, couldn't see a thing. Definitely missing the back window defroster.

If the moisture settles ***straight down***, in other words "in still air," then vertical glass will frost up less than tilted glass. If the air is moving, vertical glass will frost up just like any other glass. Here where I am, I can tell by looking at the truck what the direction of the air flow was. It is a very simple, straight-forward event.

I don’t like the lights. They are better than the older halogens but they are still I bit dimmer than I would like.

I can live with that as long as my mirrors are clear.

You would think a $58k (sticker) truck like a Longhorn would have a set of floor mats that would last longer than 30K miles. Wore right through the heal contact patch. I have a piece of heavy duty rubber from my old 2014 Ram mats underneath it to keep from ruining the rug. Another cost saving feature from FCA!
