What's the purpose of a cutout behind the muffler. If you have someone who can do the work, by all means have them do it. You might even be able to use all mandel bent pieces to really make a nice system.

Brother, I asked why mount the cutout behind the muffler and I stated by all means use your niegbhor.

Isn't that where the cutout is suppose to go? And the reason why my neighbor is skeptical about it is because he doesn't have a pipe bender, so I need the shop to do it. He said he wouldn't want to start installing the stuff and then find out the pipe wasn't bent correctly.

Maybe there is confusion about the cutout placement, what I mean is before the muffler and after the cat..

Gotcha, You can eliminate the need for bending if you figureout what you need before hand and buy all mandell bent pipe from someone like Summit then just cut what you need and have your niegbhor weld the pieces together. I'll see if I can find a link.

What do you mean? Buy the exhaust in pieces from the muffler to the tail pipe?

Go here to see the pieces, Search Results for mandrel bent pipes - SummitRacing.com

These are all mandrell bent pieces that could be custom cut and fitted to make a very free flowing exhaust. It's pricey, but done right it would be a excellent system. Shop bent pipes are compressed to a certain degree depending on the bend. The accordiain (ripple) bends are very restrictive and to be avoided.

I talked to the guy and he said if I went through him and they supplied the pipe and bent it, it would be 175. So he went down a bit from 220. I'm thinking about caling and having them do the pipe today while it's not busy and I'll install everything with my neighbor when the muffler and cutout come in. Thoughts?

The guy said I should just have them do everything, but I can't watch them install it (which, I kind of want too). He said it's best if they do everything in one shot...but I know I can save a lot of money if my neighbor does it, I don't know what to do..

I'll tell the guy I'll have him install the pipe and the muffler and I'll wait on the cutout. I'll go to my neighbor and have the cutout done and my neighbor was also gonna take off the step bar holders since I got rid of the step bars a while back. I feel like I'm talking to myself now lol..

Better double check the cutout Inlet/Outlet Dia or you'll be kicking yourself. Also I dont think the shop can just bend the pipe for you, they kinda need the muffler in place to rout the piping to the right spots. Otherwise you might end up with the muffler being in the wrong location and the piping not being long enough.

For the cutout, it does NOT go behind the muffler, that would completely defeat the purpose, behind the muffler means you are putting it on the outlet side with the tail pipes. You want to put it BEFORE the muffler after the Y pipe. Now you can put it right after the Y but IMO that will give you some bad cab noise (its going to be loud as hell but it will be worse the further up you go).

I have mine right before the muffler with a turn down welded on and I like the way it looks and sounds like this.

I thought the cutout was suppose to go in between the muffler and the cat? I'm going to e-mail raceland right now about the cutout and it's specifications..

Right it goes between the muffler and the cat, the cat is before the muffler though not after it which is what redtruckva was getting at since you kept saying it was going on after the muffler.
