Went in for an oil change at a local dealership that I did not buy the truck from. Bill rang up $0.00. They said when they pulled up my VIN I had 4 free oil changes. SWEET!!! The out of state dealer never mentioned this...

Sweett!! I've gotten two postcard type things in the mail from Mopar since I bought my truck and both offered discounted oil changes. Not free though. Guess I'll ask about my VIN when I go in for my first one.

When I bought my truck there was free 2 year bumper to bumper from Ram which included 4 free oil and oil filter changes.

I will see if I can find the paper work and post it.

Nice. Oil changes on the Hemi aren't cheap. Free is good. I bought mine 200 mi away, so no freebies for me.

It should not matter where you bought your truck to have this ram care.

The hemi is one thing, but those of us who have 6.7L Turbo Diesel Engine 12 Quarts/11.4 Liters of oil with filter change. happyhappyhappy!!

When I bought my truck, the Dealer told me they give lifetime drive train as long as you change your oil there every 5000/6mth and to beat all it was 19.95 - I even confirmed it on the website. So I figured that was easy, 20 minutes from my house and places to grab a beer while its there.

Took 3 phone calls to make my appointment, showed up, they took it in changed it right away so I just walked around and looked at more trucks!! When time to pay it was 39.95 plus shop fee's etc... OF course I asked and the guy says, oh, the Owners decided to stop the special yesterday but it didn't apply to Hemi's any way. They have always been this price.

Go figure -

Guys with 12,13 rams I would print a copy of the Ram Owners Care and find

out why you had no mention of this when you purchased ,only select people

got this care plan, it says all new and lease most chrysler vehicles.

There are some exclusions in the fine print at the bottom, durango, journey fiat.

It would not hurt to ask in a polite but to the point of your sales person.

Don

That's awesome. How about putting some of that magnetic tape on the surrounder thingamabob and just slap it on before you go to the dealer? Might be worth a try. Of course the newer license plates are so flimsy they just about need one on there.
On a side note the spell checker doesn't underline thingamabob. I didn't know that was a real word.

When I buy new vehicles I ask the dealer what they are going to pay me per year to advertize for them as a joke.

If get a crappy attitude from them I have gone out and removed the plate surround or never let them install them to start with when they transfer my old plate and also make them take their sticker from the back of the vehicle.

Those things DO NOT last on my vehicles more than a day or two anyway.

my local dealership offers the 4 oil changes for $59. prepay for 4, and each time you go, you dont have to pay.
so i buy 4 for my wife's van, and 4 for my 2011 big horn. which comes in handy since i usually have to pay extra since the regular oil change includes only 5qts of oil.

we only get oil changed twice a year for the mileage we both drive. so it works out good.
as far as i know, they are still offering it. so next week, when i take the van in for the final prepaid oil change, i will pay $59 and get 4 more...

I drove over 500 miles to get mine, and took it to the local dealership. I asked them to do the oil change and the "special price was 39.99" CHeap enough, but when they typed in my VIN# bill was 0.00 I said thanks. They explained to me I had free oil changes (4) for up to 2 years.

Nice. Oil changes on the Hemi aren't cheap. Free is good. I bought mine 200 mi away, so no freebies for me.

Ditto - If I don't catch it before it goes on, it comes of the night I get home.
