Odd issue. Sucks for sure. I would try, as suggested, use parts from the previous year.

Am I missing something. Its July. how are you even testing HEATED SEATS??????

In post 26 in your video, it clearly shows 80 degrees on your touchscreen.

Exactly how long would you expect heated seats to stay on when its an 80 degree day???

Hey some people go to work in the AM before the day reaches 80 degrees, and would like to use their heated seats.

I hear ya. However, I bought the truck specifically because it had heated seats.
If I would have been aware of this defect I would have never bought it.

Try jumping onto leather seats, in MINUS 10 degree Fahrenheit . . .
be thankful for any feeling of Warmth, no matter the Source.

Been there, done that lol.....

Or grab the steering wheel and having you hands stick to it...

You kind of are, if that’s the case then scroll on without a reply. Members here are just trying to help you out.

I understand that. But I've already answered that question multiple times.

My gf uses the heated seats when it's 100 degree out. Don't ask me why or how she does it because I'm baffled by it too. But, one of the reasons for purchasing the truck was for the heated seats. As stated previously, the outside ambient temperature has no affect on if the heated seats stay on or not.

Yesterday, we were coming back from dinner and she tried her heated seat. It actually completely shut off in under a minute. So it's got even worse since making the video. Ram customer care called me Friday and stated that basically that's how the truck is supposed to work (which it is not) and that they can't do anything about it since the dealer is telling them the computer isn't giving them any errors. I kindly told her that I've had 6 or 7 Ram trucks and NONE of them had any issues with the heated seats. They would stay on no matter what the outside temp. They're supposed to stay on for I think 45 minutes on high, then cycle down to low and then turn off after 60 minutes. Surely, Ram can understand that if they're turning completely off in under 1 minute, something is obviously wrong.

lol. But if the seat isn't heating up / staying on, it gets cold again by time we're home ;)
Git it while it's hot. Or that's what the old TV commercial used to say.

It’s issues like this that big down ram cust net service for those that need real help in an engine or transmission issue. Yet another reason I love my tradesman without all these little toys. Get a Mercedes if you want that crap.

Lol. So if I want heated seats I should buy a high-end car?? What about when I want to tow my boat or transport larger equipment? Then what? And how is my issue "bogging down" Ram customer service? It's part of the truck that I paid good money for and expect it to work as it should.

I’d just lighten up about it. People have way worse issues than a heated seat. They’ll fix it I’m sure but if we put a heated seat on the same level as a engine or trans issue then ram cust service ends up needlessly being used for less important things

I'm pretty sure that @ramcares has plenty enough room for a blown motor, busted tranny, and non working heated seats. Stop digging people and start helping your fellow Ram brothers.
You never know next time you have an issue that you need help or advise with only gets sarcasm in response and no help. Simply something to think about before opening your mouth...
Be kind n dont disrespect other Ram owners!

Whoa!!!!!!! Any new vehicle should work without issue from the map light to the drivetrain. Since we don't live in a perfect world mfg supplies a warranty. Mind you, this warranty is not free, we pay for it.. be it a Mercedes or a Daewoo, we should expect everything on the vehicle to work.

Never was disrespecting just giving my opinion. A warranty claim is one thing but he’s talking about a LEMON LAW over a heated seat. You don’t think that’s overboard?

And thanks for your service to our country.

No just misstated maybe he doesn't understand the lemon laws exact meaning. But wouldn't it be easier to help than criticize??
