ok a weird one for you guys. After doing the global down has anyone came out to their truck in the morning with the windows half way down? Keys on the kitchen table all night nobody touched the keys but my windows half way down this morn. Maybe some kind of signal from the mothership that signaled them down?

Got a cat? One of mine likes to play with the touchscreen on my phone. Playing with or simply sitting on the fob would be right in line... :)

For Front Only, rear doesn't work. Should be in the google drive doc.

If I remember my conversation with Jeremy correctly, after installation in the projectors they would be on with drl in white and when receiving the command for turn signals would cut out and blink amber. This was with his kit but probably the same as DD. I don’t have these installed yet but just remembering what he said.

Want to share my experience with installing LED switchback parking/signal lights a few months ago.

installed the switchback lights, had lamp out message in EVIC, white parking light works normal but the amber signal light would flash normal a few times and then begin to hyperflash
set "Led Front Turn Lamps Present" to "Yes"
set "LED Front Park/Marker Lamps Present" to "Yes"
lamp out message in EVIC is gone, but the amber signal lights still continued to hyperflash
ordered resistors from amazon...
front amber signal lights NO longer hyperflash.

set "DRL Lamp Location" to "Turn Signal DRL" and the white Park Lights are in fact on for the DRL and the amber signal lights function normal.

It was more work than i would have anticipated for installing a single bulb, but the effect is well worth it...

Were these installed in quads or projectors?

I think my quads have an amber cover for the turn signals so switchbacks won't help. But I might use the parking lights as DRLs and put LEDs there.

Installed in Quads, the factory parking/signal lights are amber (one bulb for both) and the lens/reflector is clear on my 2016 RAM 2500 6.7 SLT

Maybe you have Duals?

Nope, definitely quads. Like in your pic above, it looks like there is an amber plastic piece but maybe its just the reflection of the bulb?

Or is there a difference between quads on a 1500 (mine) and a 2500 (yours) ?

OK....look for HELP! Sorry if this becomes a long post........

I have a 2017 2500 SLT

While I installed heated / ventilated seats awhile ago, I never attempted to activate the MEMORY function and gave it a try today. No joy. Two of the settings that are probably needed ( from reading numerous posts here) is one setting is called "CSWM Comfort Seat Wheel Module" and the other is "MSM Memory Seat Module: Set". I have been though the list of settings numerous times and for the life of me cannot find these settings. If I recall correctly from the many posts I read over the last 2 days, there was another member who had the same problem and ended up using an AutoEnginuity (AE) to have these settings "set".

After having looked numerous times under the BODY CONTROL MODULE for the 2 settings mentioned above I went to "DRIVER SEAT" (instead of BCM in the drop down menu). Under "Driver Seat" there are 4 available settings. While NONE are for the "CSWM" setting, 1 of them is for "MEMORY SEAT MODULE" (MSM)......BUT this setting has the notation "USE MS-CAN-BLUE adapter".

Has anyone here tried this setting? Any idea what the blue adapter is? As mentioned above, another member here had the same problem of finding these 2 settings (CSWM and MSM) but he posted that he ended up using an AutoEnginuity (AE) to set them. Was trying to avoid renting an AE again.

Any feedback, answers or even WAG are welcomed............

Hot Damn!

Finally installed my Aux Panel/Switch and Relay box, plus the trailer controller. Man what a... well pita is the only word really. I could not for the life of me get the relay box mounted on the firewall like most suggest. There was just too much angle for me to get any bite with self tapping screws. After almost an hour of trying different drills/extensions/etc I finally said uncle and found a different spot.

So the tray that holds the fuse box/center next to the battery conveniently had one hole available, I utilized it and drilled a second hole. But, I wasn't able to get a good nut on the back side, so had to resort to the cable tie for now. I'll make a trip to the hardware store to see what I can come up with.

EDIT - not sure this location is going to work out - did a quick errand/test run and when I got home the box was really, really warm. Not sure how warm it would be comparatively at the firewall, but it really seemed warm where i have it now. So back to the drawing board on location I guess. :(

So, the relay box stays much cooler mounted at the firewall. I was able to get it mounted, I moved up to #12 self tapping screws, and instead of trying to use a power tool I just used my smallest 1/4" ratchet, short extension and socket on the hex head, and just drove them in by hand, 1/8 of a turn at a time lol. Took a while, but it worked and it's solidly mounted now!

Had some time today so I paired up the obdmx and alfaobd and looked around. Since I’m a beginner at this, I just made 3 changes so far:

1. Fog light dropout
2. SRT screen
3. Changed front Fogs to LED

Everything worked great. I have the Morimoto led fogs with 2 huge resistors on each one. After the configuration changes I plugged the factory plug directly to the fogs and drove for an hour without any resistors, I didn’t get any errors messages so that’s great imo.

One question I have is on the DRLs, I looked customer setting for the setting that would enable them to turn on and off on the 8.4 but I didn’t see that option, did I miss it?

These are the only DRL I saw

From what I understand, and after using it on my 2010, if you are using the ODBLink MX bluetooth adapter, you can ignore the blue adapter note and it will still work. I got the same message, but continued on and it worked fine. Not sure if any other adapters work the same, I think i remember reading somewhere in this thread others worked as well, not sure though. This thread can be information overload if you're trying to go thru it all in one sitting, but there is definitely some impressive work going on here. Kudo's to everyone involved.

There is one more setting: "DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS CSM" its lower down on the list of settings. Counting this setting there are 5 total for DRL's. See post #1

Yes. I was NOT able to find the 2 settings in ALFAOBD, so I did in fact set them with the A E Tool

I have also connected to the Drive Seat module with ALFAOBD and there are no settings in there, only ability to test functions (no need for blue adapter when using OBDLink MX)

It’s about 3/4 of the way to the bottom with the rest of the options that have CSM at the end of them

Chamolie....thanks for your response! A couple more questions and observations.

I use the Alpha program on an Android tablet. When I go to the "DRIVER SEAT" file I get 4 listings and I go to "Memory Seat Module (Use Blue Adapter)". When I go to that setting I get the same 7 choices you show in your screen shot (with an exception explained below).

If I go to "Seat Position Recall" (the second setting on the list of 7 in your screen shot), the next page that shows up there is a text box stating: "This will actuate the memory seat based on current user settings. You will not be able to run this actuator if the memory seat profiles are not set or the Easy Entry / Exit is not enabled". Then under this text box is the drop down menu where you select an option, I get 3 choices:

-"To Easy Entry / Exit position"
-"Position 1"
-"Position 2"

Also if I go to "Easy Entry / Exit" (the fourth setting in your screen shot) the text box on the next page says " Use this function for enabling the Easy Entry Exit option on the driver's front seat". Then select "Disable" or "Enabled"

You did not see these settings when using the Alpha? Maybe because you are using Windows? I am a complete NOOB in all this stuff, so half the time I am flying blind. It just seems that on the android version I get choices to activate? Do I go to all 3 settings ("To Easy Entry / Exit position" "Position 1" "Position 2 ) one at a time and then hit "START"?

If I was somewhat braver I would just try it, but having already gone to the dealer once for a reflash of the BCM I am of course more cautious and look for your, and others, help and input. Thanks!

Yes, I do have the same 3 options and have tested them:

To Easy Entry / Exit Position - will move the seat all of the way to the back (assuming you have Easy Entry / Exit functioning and enabled in CSM - setting in Radio)
To Position 1 - will move the seat to the position that is programmed for Memory 1 on the side of your driver seat (assuming that you have the memory seats functioning)
To Position 2 - will move the seat to the position that is programmed for Memory 2 on the side of your driver seat (assuming that you have the memory seats functioning)

ALL 3 settings are for testing, they DO NOT enable the feature

The 2 options:

"Easy Entry/Exit" and "Key Fobs Linked To Memory"

will enable/disable the feature as if selecting from the settings menu in the Radio

I have testing all options within the menu for the "Driver Seat" and all have worked, I even successfully installed power adjustable pedals from ebay

:)

Well I guess that settles it, I am going to have to use an AE tool like you did. My memory seat does not work as of now. I have "set" already using Alpha:
-Drivers Memory Mirrors Present
-Passenger Memory Mirrors Present
-Memory Seat Present
-Easy Exit CSM
-RKE Linked to Memory CSM

All of which leaves those 2 other settings. I would think that "Memory Seat Module" would be the key setting.....

PS Chamolie...I sent you a PM so as not to gum up this thread more..............
