Yes you can change the tire size with the tool. There are several pre programmed tire sizes in the body control module or you can type in the tire diameter manually if nothing in the list matches what you have. Note: in some cases when you change a tire size you will get warning lights and have to re initialize ABS model module which there are instructions for. From what I am reading I think it usually happens if you manually type in a tire diameter I did not have any issues when I set mine to the bigger tire using one of the pre selected sizes.

I had to reinitialize and used the pre selected sizes. Also make sure you use the 3rd option in the ABS module. I don't remember what it was. I kept trying to use the wrong one.

Thanks for the info. I wonder why some people have to reinitialize the ABS module and some don't?

It's all in the beginning of this thread. You will need to purchase the alpha OBD app on the Google play store for $49 and either downloaded to and Android or Windows device plus purchase the OBD link MX adaptor for $79 and that's it.

No there is no App for the I phone. Most people just buy an inexpensive Android Tablet.

Wife took truck to today so I'll try when she gets home. After you select yes and enable on everything so I shut the truck off or pull out the obd reader?

Disconnect the Alfa program from the obd reader. Turn key off and remove. Go in house with key and wait for at least 5 minutes. Then it should be working when you go out and try again.

When starting this process and you have the push button ignition, do you push it twice without foot on pedal or just once?

I think once is ACC and second is RUN

I just got my OBDMX delivered and a cheap wifi android tablet last night so haven't tried anything yet.

My truck doesn't have a push button start but I have noticed that mine programs fine without even turning my key on even though the instructions say to turn the ignition to RUN.

I have an old android phone that may work but ill have to check and see. Thanks
I'm currently using an old Samsung Note 2 with no issues.

As Rick said, it seems to work either way for most things. I've tried it both ways myself with no issues.

Hot Damn!

Finally installed my Aux Panel/Switch and Relay box, plus the trailer controller. Man what a... well pita is the only word really. I could not for the life of me get the relay box mounted on the firewall like most suggest. There was just too much angle for me to get any bite with self tapping screws. After almost an hour of trying different drills/extensions/etc I finally said uncle and found a different spot.

So the tray that holds the fuse box/center next to the battery conveniently had one hole available, I utilized it and drilled a second hole. But, I wasn't able to get a good nut on the back side, so had to resort to the cable tie for now. I'll make a trip to the hardware store to see what I can come up with.

Everything else went ok - I used the clutch delete plate and one of those universal firewall grommets to run the wire through, and added the trailer brake controller at the same time.

AlfaOBD made quick work of the trailer brake, and I just set the Aux options as well and am letting it sleep.

The only issue I've run across is buttons 1 and 2 do not come on unless the key is turned (like 3,4,5). They are supposed to be hot at all times. I haven't installed any fuses yet in the relay box, not sure if the fuses need to be installed for them to work sans key. I'll also check the config after it sleeps as I saw in CBG's vid that it has the option to set them to battery or ignition.

EDIT - not sure this location is going to work out - did a quick errand/test run and when I got home the box was really, really warm. Not sure how warm it would be comparatively at the firewall, but it really seemed warm where i have it now. So back to the drawing board on location I guess. :(

Could someone who has theirs mounted on the Firewall check theirs after driving for a bit? Mine gets too almost too hot to hold my hand against for more than a few seconds in it's current location.

Man several hours later and still no Aux Swtich settings... :(

I've finally got the DRL to work but still no customer enable in the setting menu under lights. I've got it enabled. Also any clue as how to enable the white lights instead of amber if you have the switchbacks?

Hey everyone, I’m joining this forum just for this thread. Unfortunately my ELM327 that I used for other apps doesn’t seem to be sufficient to run the demo version - I’m waiting for confirmation from the developer before I spend money on another OBD reader. I’m doing it mostly for the TPMS. I reprogrammed it before, but some settings were changed with the trans recall.

I don't think you can. To the best of my knowledge, switchbacks are not a factory option on any RAM truck so there is no setting for them.
