I am thinking you were somehow given the wrong 4 digit pin code when you originally tried to program your remote start and your dealer used the correct 4 digit numeric pin code to program. All it would take is the person you originally got the code from is to get one number or letter off in your Vin to get the wrong code or possibly transpose a number when he wrote the code down. I have programmed keys for my truck with the alpha tool so I know it will work with the correct pin#.

I hear yeah. The guy that gave me the code is the guy who programmed it for me. IDK maybe he didn't give the right code or I was doing something wrong. It my luck lol!!

Want to share my experience with installing LED switchback parking/signal lights a few months ago.

installed the switchback lights, had lamp out message in EVIC, white parking light works normal but the amber signal light would flash normal a few times and then begin to hyperflash
set "Led Front Turn Lamps Present" to "Yes"
set "LED Front Park/Marker Lamps Present" to "Yes"
lamp out message in EVIC is gone, but the amber signal lights still continued to hyperflash
ordered resistors from amazon...
front amber signal lights NO longer hyperflash.

set "DRL Lamp Location" to "Turn Signal DRL" and the white Park Lights are in fact on for the DRL and the amber signal lights function normal.

It was more work than i would have anticipated for installing a single bulb, but the effect is well worth it...
What were your exact settings?

My switchbacks are amber in drl mode and I can’t figure out why

The code I got was invalid. So that’s y I had to get a Mopar Tech that I knew.
Can you tell us how he did it? I thought even the dealer would need the code???

The dealer can access the code through your vin#.

I just asked what the code was. The original code that he gave me was #### which was invalid. I will let you know when he responds. Thanks

That's good to know. I thought the new RF hub would have it's own code. apparently not? Did the dealer share it with you for future reference?

Don't post the code here. That's for your truck and should be kept private. Just write it down somewhere in case you need to program a fob later.

The code is yours to have. Any dealer should give you your 4 digit all numerical pin code.

Is it alphanumeric?

Or are there really only 10,000 codes out there for who-knows-how-many trucks? If so, your code is necessarily YOUR code :)

So I noticed something. I had my DRL activated the way most have through turn signal. I decided to change my settings to match what Zee had said.

I noticed that when hitting the turn signal the light actually brightens a little bit and then drops to a turn signal.

So this means he is right. Using “turn signal” as the DRL option is powering the turn signal wire. When I activated the two additional settings Zee mentioned and switched my DRL to dedicated the DRL wire in the headlight is now being used.

As stated before either method works because the voltage is reduced but for those switching to something aftermarket that is made to use the DRL you will need to use Zees settings.

So just to be clear, as it got confusing as the posts went on :)... this only applies to aftermarket lights - not to OEM Quads, correct?

OEM Quads running Turns as DRLs don't need any of Zee's settings?

@mtnrider

not sure if this helps any:

MODULE-BODY CONTROL C1/A

Harness Family: Body
Cavities: 26
Color:
Gender: FEMALE
Part Description: 13850155_13850159
Engineering Name: Mod_CBC_CBC
Connector No: D3806A
Option: Standard

I found the terminals but can’t find any stock. S2072401 (smaller wires) S2038402 (larger wires). Maybe there are some that would work. I can try to look more later. Might be able to match up with another connector and get it at parts counter. I would guess they have some bulk terminal kits.

Obviously I'm not asking for the code lol. I'm just trying to figure out if there's a new code required when adding remote start with a new RF Hub. It sounds like rakem is saying the code remains the same and is linked to the VIN even if you install a new RF hub. Is this correct?

The bulbs are designed to be white when the truck is using its park lights and Amber when turn signals are used

Hmmm... This is interesting. My (USA) truck only has amber LEDs. At least I've never seen them go white. And I don't see anything in AlfaOBD to control color. Would be cool to have the DRL's be white and the turn signals to be amber though. Please post if you find something.

Well that’s on 2016. Not sure with the new ones.

They are talking about aftermarket switchbacks in the headlights.

Are you talking aftermarket bulbs, a quad to projector swap, or ... ?

Try flipping the bulb over?

Yes as far as I can tell. He was having issues with his diode dynamics switch backs.

This may also be the correct settings for those with projectors from the factory. I noticed a small change in how my DRL act and I think they are now functioning correctly.
