I have Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, 285x70-17 E rated tires on my 1500, 17X8 Rebel wheels. My brother has 275x65-20 E tires on his Ram 3500.

On this year's elk hunting & trout fishing in Oregon we were hoping for rain, mud or snow to give our new Falkens the test. We had dry weather all the way. What we immediately noticed was on those old dirt logging roads our previous Goodyear Duratracs would break loose a lot. The Falken A/T3Ws never even hinted at breaking loose, just dug in - great traction.

Since then I've been in some good rains on known slick roads and the Falkens did not hydroplane, slip or slide at all.

So far the best tire either of us has tried, and we've tried many AT tires.

The various price spreads reported here could be tire ratings. Hard to tell as no one said what rating they purchased.
I purchased my Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, 285x70-17 E rated from Discount tires for $866.00 out the door because they matched an on line tire store price.

I have the P265/75R16s on my 2003 Dakota. All round traction is very good and there is a little bit of road noise (about the same level as the wind noise). I think you will had pressed to find a better all around A/T tire. They will be the next tires I put on my Ram when I need new tires.

Add me to the AT3W list in stock 275/60-20 size, here is my take.

Handling/ride = better than stock GY's, slightly firmer but way better feedback.
Noise = louder than worn out GY's, no bogger howl just louder road noise (like white noise), not bad at all and can only hear it if you are listening for it.
Looks = drastically better that the white outlined letter GY's, looks like a real truck!

I got the 285 65 R20 size. They have the 3 peak snow logo, measure almost 35"x11" so fit under the fender OK. I put on a 2.5" /upper control arm lift, and it rides level.

The tires are highway quiet, and they look normally sized with niether too much nor too little rubber. Off road was dry at elk camp, but they grab fine and dont kick up too much dust.

Not much snow or ice yet this year but what we did have these tires performed great on. Very satisfied with price and performance!

How's the wet traction when raining on slick pavement?

Wet traction for me has been great. I'm down to about 3/32 tread at 60k miles and I still don't have any issues with hydroplaning, etc. They're going to need replaced soon and I have no real reason to install anything else.

I have a 2.75 Tuff Country level on mine. It's a 2011 with the chrome 20's. I was planning to get the 285/65r20 on mine. Did you have any rubbing at all? My upper control arm is about 1/2" from my stock tire and I'm a little concerned (they're supposedly 11"wide) and the 285 will be 11.5"wide. According to my figures though that should only bring the 285's a1/4" closer. If not I'll just go with the 275/65r20.

Love mine! 275/60R20, on a noise scale of 1-10, factory GY’s as 1, I’d say these are a 3. I honestly have to pay attention to actually notice it. 31139E2C-2E55-44B0-9B02-045647298FD6.jpeg

Can anyone comment on the noise and ride quality of these after 20k miles? My buddy has these and they aren’t very old but are very noisy. Thanks

Mine are not overly noisy at all. Much quieter than the stock duratracs which came on my truck. On a 1-10 scale, I would put them at a 2 or 3 at most. Na, not even a 3. They are noticeable, but hardly.

Any tire can get noisy after 20k miles, especially if they are not taken care of and are wearing poorly (not rotated, worn steering parts etc.).

I've got 10k on mine and don't notice the noise at all. I do have a 18" magnaflow muffler that would cover any real tire noise.

No rubbing at all. Went on a trip in the back country with snow and slush on an somewhat maintained gravel road. Dipped in some deep mud potholes, and slid down the hills, but as long as I kept it at 30mph I had no problems. Still have not experienced any black ice, being retired I don't have to jump in the rat race anymore.

Took her out to corolla for the week. Zero issues. Tires did great. [emoji108]f672cc7f6da84eab40daf95d1e47f6e7.jpg5c315939db8cfff711b57b7959fa992c.jpgab82ac57f23c7b915c142dd4de7b4776.jpg8fecc829e9fc60083749300027064113.jpg2425e7929c52bf082ef6fd0382ce1cc1.jpg

Love this set up! Do you think those 305s will fit on a stock height truck? Not sure if I’m ready to level it yet, but definitely will one day.
