I have Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, 285x70-17 E rated tires on my 1500, 17X8 Rebel wheels. My brother has 275x65-20 E tires on his Ram 3500.
On this year's elk hunting & trout fishing in Oregon we were hoping for rain, mud or snow to give our new Falkens the test. We had dry weather all the way. What we immediately noticed was on those old dirt logging roads our previous Goodyear Duratracs would break loose a lot. The Falken A/T3Ws never even hinted at breaking loose, just dug in - great traction.
Since then I've been in some good rains on known slick roads and the Falkens did not hydroplane, slip or slide at all.
So far the best tire either of us has tried, and we've tried many AT tires.
The various price spreads reported here could be tire ratings. Hard to tell as no one said what rating they purchased.
I purchased my Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, 285x70-17 E rated from Discount tires for $866.00 out the door because they matched an on line tire store price.
