About a week ago I added some marvels mystery oil to gas without a hiccup. A few days later I did an engine flush and drained oil replaced oil filter and air filter added my 7 qts. I also put a little Lucas in my tranny because it was starting to shift a little hard. I didn't drive it till the next day. I drove it for about 15 mins come to a stop and it did a little shutter but did not die. I drive it home and before I'm fully in my parking spot it shuts off. Next day same thing. Take it about 5 blocks up to station. Soon as I'm almost stopped it dies. Try to start it back up but it won't. Go in get a soda call my friend. Go back out it starts. Drive it home refusing to completely stop at any stop sign (little town) I pull in to my spot and dies. I'm so lost. Also let me add. In the winters my truck will die at least one at a stop sign or when I first back out. But it starts right back up. I had gotten used to it.

Maybe the cleaning of your fuel system knocked some crud loose and caused a clog somewhere in the system??? I've heard of that happening before..... maybe try changing the fuel filter???

I'm not a mechanic, but it sounds like fuel delivery issues.

At what point would a check engine light come on? I mean at this point I'm beginning to think the darn thing doesn't even work. Also fuel filter located on top of my gas tank correct?

No check engine lights what so ever. I would think truck shutting down would warrant a check engine light. 10 years of dodge and something's still dump me with Dodge

If you have a code scanner I would scan for codes anyway.

There could be pending codes that would have triggered the CEL during the next drive cycle or two, but if it cant start it would never be able to show the CEL.

I tend to agree with fuel delivery issues since the system was "cleaned".

Stalling after backing of throttle and coming to a stop could also be an idle air control valve that needs cleaning.

Of course it is. About a month ago I had a gas tank strap break and almost on the ground. Finally get it back up and it needs to be dropped.

I added 6 oz to a completely full tank. It will start right up. Drive down the road but at stop shuts off and doesn't want to start back up for a second. I have also changed throttle body and sensor about a year ago do to the dying. Along with IAC and nothing helped it. Dying never created a problem till now. Its different now. Something I used has created an issue and at this point it I believe fuel is the start

Look at the bright side, at least the probably hasn't had much of a chance to set back in!

Ahh, that's the inherent problem in adding "mystery oils." It is supposed to remove sludge...where do you think it goes? It's not that big of a deal to remove the tank and replace the pump. Just hope that resolves the issue.

I wouldn't add that stuff again. If the fuel tank, filter, rails or lines are dirty, mechanically clean them, or replace them.

Did you add before or after filling? If you add MMO then fill up, it will mix the MMO into the fuel otherwise it just "hangs out" until it is delivered to the injectors. Always put fuel additives in an empty tank then add the fuel to ensure that it mixes evenly.

I'm in agreement with posts about a fuel delivery system issue. Check your fuel pressure, it should be around 59psi +/- 5psi. It is possible that either the pump is starting to fail or the filter sock (basically the pump inlet filter) is full of gunk. See if you can pull any pending codes from ECM as well, it may point in the direction of your issue if there are any.

The following images are from AllDataDIY for my truck, the procedures should be similar if not the same for yours. I know most people don't have the special tools called for at times, but a smart mechanic can figure it out. :)

Well I'm definitely not even close to a mechanic. Just raised by a dad that wanted boys and decided his girls could do just as much as any boy. P.S. We definitely did

Unfortunately I added after the fill up. Directions on bottle. I was skeptical so here we are. I plan on sucking as much gas out as I can today. Then dropping the tank and taking it from there. Never had this problem with seafoam. Had someone pick some up and they didn't come back with seafoam. I can't even be mad at Thema Lou she don't like cheap stuff.

I would put the pedal to the medal and try to blow the “carbon” out and see if it runs strong. If it doesn’t you may throw a code to point you in the right direction. A dirty egr valve will also cause a stalling condition. Also I would clean the throttle body. Good luck and let us know.

Ha! I just went out on a back road 20 mins ago and gunned the **** out of her. Multiple times. No dying. Came back slow downed to about 35 hit the gas to rev it up and nothing. Tried 3 times nothing. Had to look down to make sure it was still running. ‍At this point she will sit till have patience again.

Sounds like you need to have a way to monitor fuel pressure while driving and I'd be taking a good look at that throttle body. Pull your air intake off and clean around the blade/behind it. Also a good time to check your air filter too.

When gas tank fell, might have kinked the air inlet from the emissions. This would be like sucking a lemon seed threw a straw.
Try loosening the gas cap and see if that helps. If so, check all lines coming from gas tank. Your gas tank needs more air to breathe.
