Thank you for sharing sir.

I’ve never seen One of those restaurants before.

You must live in a pretty nice place then, somewhat rural with a population that doesn't change much year after year? You live in the UP right? Most people don't have the balls to deal with the winters up there. They all sure as **** want to move to Charleston,SC though, unfortunately.

We just got a ChicFilA here about 2 years ago. Considering the local politics here I’m really shocked how well it has done. It’s always packed and the drive thru is always backed up into the parking lot...

Its amazing how conservative most people are but they can't really express too much especially depending upon where they live at. I would think in a few more years you might actually be facing jail time for speaking out in public against the liberal agenda. My district actually elected a democrat senator this last election. Just goes to show that it won't be very long before the transplants outnumber the natives down here.

Shouldn't be shocked at all...Chick-fil-A is very serious about its mission and, as a result, puts a lot of hard work into figuring out where its stores will go, along with who will manage them (as the company isn't a franchise and owns all its locations). The real shock would be if store wasn't packed during the weekday lunch rush!

Anyway, to get this thread back on "Synthetic Oil," I went to the local Walmart yesterday and found plenty of Fram filters on the shelves. No runs on my XG2s, but I loaded up on 'em anyway, as well as a couple of 5-quart jugs of good, ol' QSUD 5W-30.

We barely kept a democrat that doesn't even live in the state out of office in our district... and this is basically farm country. All the new Texans around here really are mucking up the place now that they're pushing out westward from the cesspool they've created in San Antonio. It seems to be everywhere that was once decent is being transformed slowly. Hell I've seen HOA controlled 50+ acre plots for sale now not far from me where you're deed restricted and basically can't do **** with it.

do you spend anytime chasing those big smallmouth bass up there?

I used to do it a lot when I lived on the lake. Not so much anymore. I also don’t have a boat and don’t really want one either.
But I do want to canoe that’s my preferred boat

yeah i have a kayak that i chase the green fish with. would love a boat. but the simplicity of a kayak is tough to beat. plenty of small ponds around me so i dont have to paddle for hours on the big lakes

Sorry guys I forget...What was determined on the lube? Is the RL compatible with the stock lube? Just noticed the drive line is supposed to be lubed every 30k...almost 50k behind on that one.....figure the rest of the joints could use it also

You talking about greasing U-joints?

It’s safe to consider no grease compatible with another

I just heard back from Blackstone Labs and they are "NOT" ISO 17025 accredited. Not sure if that will make a difference to anyone but worth stating.

Here is what I found on Wikipedia:

ISO/IEC 17025 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories is the main ISO standard used by testing and calibration laboratories. In most countries, ISO/IEC 17025 is the standard for which most labs must hold accreditation in order to be deemed technically competent. In many cases, suppliers and regulatory authorities will not accept test or calibration results from a lab that is not accredited. Originally known as ISO/IEC Guide 25, ISO/IEC 17025 was initially issued by the International Organization for Standardization in 1999. There are many commonalities with the ISO 9000 standard, but ISO/IEC 17025 is more specific in requirements for competence and applies directly to those organizations that produce testing and calibration results and is based on somewhat more technical principles.[1]. Laboratories use ISO/IEC 17025 to implement a quality system aimed at improving their ability to consistently produce valid results.[2] It is also the basis for accreditation from an accreditation body.

There have been three releases; in 1999, 2005 and 2017. The most significant changes between the 1999 and 2005 release were a greater emphasis on the responsibilities of senior management, explicit requirements for continual improvement of the management system itself, and communication with the customer. It also aligned more closely with the 2000 version of ISO 9001 [3]

The 2005 version of the standard comprises five elements; Normative References, Terms and Definitions, Management Requirements, and Technical Requirements. Management requirements are primarily related to the operation and effectiveness of the quality management system within the laboratory. Technical requirements include factors that determine the correctness and reliability of the tests and calibrations performed in the laboratory.

The 2017 version of ISO/IEC 17025 has modified this structure to be Scope, Normative References, Terms and Definitions, General Requirements, Structural Requirements, Resource Requirements, Process Requirements, and Management System Requirements. General Requirements and Structural Requirements are related to the organization of the laboratory itself. Structure Requirements cite those issues related to the people, plant, and other organizations used by the laboratory to produce its technically valid results. Process Requirements are the heart of this version of the standard in describing the activities to ensure that results are based on accepted science and aimed at technical validity. Management System Requirements are those steps taken by the organization to give itself quality management system tools to support the work of its people in the production of technically valid results.

Forgot to mention. u-joints are supposed to be greased much more frequently than 30,000 miles.

Mine says at every oil change.

From My Post 28480:

In case anyone was wondering about Red Line CV2 Grease, I emailed to be sure it was compatible with the lithium complex grease in my trailers' wheel bearings, and Dave answered:

Thank you for contacting Red Line Oil, the CV-2 is a calcium sulphonate base and is compatible with a lithium complex base grease.

To be fair, most every grease manufacturer says they’re compatible. But it is good practice to clean out the previous brand best you can. Grease compatibility issues are a known problem.

Even if that just means pumping a **** ton through it to replace old with new.

I just dont trust it. That is only MY OPINION though.
