Hi Folks,
New member here. I have a 2017 2500 CTD. Its a 4x4 short bed. My problem is that it has the factory transforce tires and I can take a wet paper towel and wave over it and it will get stuck on flat wet ground.
That truck is heavy and the moment the tires make one complete revolution, they glaze over with mud and turn into slick tires, no matter how slow I try to ease away. I have dug myself out with a shovel several times and now had to dump 180 bucks on a wrecker to pull it and a drive on trailer out.
I will eventually get a winch for the thing but for now I need some tires.
The truck is tall enough so I wont be lifting it...I will pretty much keep it factory spec.
I do tow a camper so E range tires are a must but I need about as aggressive tire I can get and still tow the camper safely...any help on tire brands would be great...I would love to go with a mud tire but I do tow a camper and that might not be a good happy medium. I just need a kind of tire that will give me a little more bite before it glazes over with mud
