El Niño (Pineapple Express) has been hitting everyone hard. We had a huge lightening storm here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The only thing I can compare it with would be the early Summer storms I saw as a kid in the Rogue Valley. Hell, there was a tornado warning (huge stormcloud cell) and golf ball hail up in Redding, CA (Shasta County) this week. https://abc7news.com/weather/golf-ball-sized-hail-hits-redding-amid-tornado-warning/5316952/

Front center bumper upper, deer whistle?

Yep - seems to actually work against the blacktails around here - hadn't seen one come near the road (and saw a few run off) since I got it.

We don't get much in the way of electrical storms out in Oregon, but rain? We get bags of rain...

Washed it.. started it was sunny and 80 degrees out.. as I finished the last panel the sky was dark grey just in time for wind/rain/lighting storm... so now have a nice dirty truck again from driving in the rain lol.

At least I got a picture while it shined.

Drove 2.5 hours each direction so my missus can have a new "fur baby" ( an 8 week old dachshund.) He didn't crap in the truck, so I guess he can stay.

Doxies are good dogs. We had 3 (Shadow(black) passed last Nov.) The lil one, Peanut is blind in one and and probably not going to go past this year. Trixie, the blond, has problems with her back but it comes and goes. As much as they want to sit and beg and jump on/off furniture, don't let them. If yo allow them on the furniture and bed etc, get the steps.

My wife pulled it out and cleaned it a few weeks ago. Now she has been diving and going to drive 7 hours with if to Colorado for my nephews graduation while I am stuck in Poland. [emoji24][emoji26]

Round 2 of "There's moisture in my DS headlight housing.

When I bought my '13 Ram about 5 weeks ago, it had some moisture in the DS headlight housing. I pulled the housing, cleaned out the water, and adjusted the vents. Yes, they were all the way in. A few days later it rained and the moisture was back.

Today, I went all the way. I Pulled the housing, rinsed the inside with RainX windshield washer solution, followed by two rinses with Ozarka bottled water. Meant to use distilled but I forgot to buy it. Shook the excess water out, then used some paper towels taped to the end of a stiff insulated wire (to prevent scratches) to wipe as much of the droplets out as I could. I finished the drying by blowing air from my shop vac. I cleaned the vac and hose thoroughly before using it.

Then I used black RTV to seal the edges and greased all the seals before closing it up. I was very careful not to get grease on the bulbs.

It is supposed to rain on Wed. We will see.

No worries - we've had nothing but dachshunds for decades now. Our last one passed away back in February (Zoe - she was 12, and my 24-year-old daughter was an emotional wreck for a week when it happened - it was her dog). Her constant companion, Winston, passed away six months before that at the age of 14. We originally got them for our kids well over a decade ago. Before that, Mitzi stayed with us to the ripe old age of 17 (she was my wife's dog when I first met and dated her.)

We just wanted to give it a bit of time before my wife felt she was ready. We know full well that letting a doxie jump too far or get too fat is a spinal hazard, though we never really pampered them too much - the couch is perfectly low enough to jump off and on, but the bed is always out-of-bounds.

The only real difference is that this time we got a mini wirehair, which is alleged to be way calmer than the spazmatic std.-sized smooth-hairs that we've always had. She's calling it Samson now.

Swapped rear diff fluid just an hour or so ago with Redline 75W-140 that I bought from Nick@GotExhaust back in February (!). All went well...haven't drove it yet but I'm glad the factory fill is outta there (the Reb has 45k miles on it). It wasn't bad, but knowing the RL stuff is in there is great peace of mind. Thanks again, Nick!
