Thanks....pretty sure i'm going with the Lomax. It's definitely the best looking.

What do you suggest as an alternative?

I bought the BakFlip but regret it. It was supposed to come with a $75 rebate form. It didn't. It was supposed to come with rubber bumpers to stop the cover from damaging paint or glass when propped open - it didn't - been calling and emailing them for two weeks trying to get help and so far - it's just BS - no response - or lies. Won't buy from them again.

I have the Bakflip and have had a cpl. before this one. always been great. bought from Tonneaucover. great service and when my current cover came with no clip on the end of one of the straps they sent me 2 new complete straps in just a cpl. days. no leaks and easy to fold a section or two back if I carry something tall and finish has stayed new looking better than whatever brand my brother-in-law put on his.

Anyone found options for 2019 5ft 7in bed w/RamBox option? No dealer near me has anything in stock or orderable. Does Lomax have something for this version?

I have the Undercover Ultra Flex on my Laramie and it fits perfect. No leaks except a little at the tailgate. I think all of the folding covers leak at the tailgate some. I have owned it 5 months and it has been great. It folds all the way to give full access to the bed if needed and has prop rods to hold it in that case.

I had a MX4 on my 2016 and loved it. Getting ready to order one for my 2019 Limited. Never had a leaking issue and loved the way u can't open it when ur tailgate is up. Sold my old to a guy with a 2018 Rebel and he loved it. Installs in about 25 mins with no drilling. I like the clean look. Just my preference, I've had plenty of trucks and different lids.

Went with the BakFlip MX4, it's ok but nothing to write home about, a little water does get into the truck bed. I do like that the top is heavy construction and I can place a few things on top when needed.

Bakflip MX4 doesn't require opening tailgate to close but G2 does. Either takes up about 6-8" at front of bed when folded open. Takes less than 5min to remove or replace as it is two nuts to remove (No tools needed).

Like the G2 I have on my 06 and will probably do the MX4 when I add to my 18.

I have the MX4 on my 2017 Larime with rambox. Minor leak near front and sometimes at tailgate with hard driving rain. Overall I like the look and ease of removal when I need the full bed.

My Bakflip F1 has been "in processing" now for a week... typical canned responses from "customer support"... getting frustrated with the whole online process. I have a few expensive items that I've ordered from different companies, and all of them are delayed beyond what the vendors committed.

I also purchased some office furniture... back in October, a $2000 desk for my home office, then mid December, a chair. The desk was "in stock", then almost a month later, they told me it would be mid-February. Cancelled that one and bought a desk from Haverty's… delivered in 2 days. I ordered the "In Stock" chair... a week later when I didn't see any shipping notice, I called to find out that "In Stock" means that if its in stock at their supplier, they will ship in 2-3 days. Canceled that one too. Still trying to find a decent chair.

Between the truck and my office, I'm getting tired of the entire internet... or maybe I'm just getting old and cranky around the holidays.

i have the Mopar hard folding cover on my 2019 Limited IMG_0529.jpg IMG_0530.jpg and really like it. For the most part no water gets in and i go through the car wash all the time, you can open and close the tailgate without lifting the cover. The Mopar cover is made be the same company as bak and Undercover only its cheaper and the warranty is longer.

I’m getting the Undercover Armorflex next week. I like the rougher Line-X surface to hide scratches and the extremely low profile. It will be nice to have more storage area that I can secure when traveling.

I have a tonno pro and solid fold 2.0 since I didn't want clamp on rails.

Just some winter observations,

Metal canvas cover makes sheets of ice and the ice seems to stick to it. I suspect metal only cover will do the same. Has frozen solid to the bed a few times. Conducts temperature in the heat and cold.

Solid fold composit is like a cooler and keeps snow fluffy and blows right off. Easier to open in the cold, joints aren't fabric. Also has yet to freeze solid to the bed. Bed doesn't get as hot during summer.

If I was doing it over I would pass up the metal cover just for the temperature issues.

I just learned that if you have an 8’ bed on your Ram, the Bakflip mx4 does not have a locking latch on the second panel up from the tail gate. A friend lifted that panel up 2 to 3 inches with the tailgate closed.
Something to think about when you consider which top to buy.
