Do you have a picture of what you're describing with the "fan displaying temperature"?

If I repeatedly press the + it will eventually go to HI and if I do the same with - it will go to LO and the temp does adjust, but the temp #'s are meaningless and they are not consistent, meaning I can start from LO and press the + a few times and it will show 71F, then a couple more and it will lower to 56F.

I guess my question is, should there be a more representative layout of the fan control like the OEM was that shows blue for cold and red for hot and a transition color in between.

Sorry got carried away BBQ'ing. I'll check later and follow up on this, but I vaguely remember it being the same. Also, my screen looks different with the PX6, so I need to dig around a bit more.

@GoodToGoMarine your truck has the 4 speed fan from factory right? What protocol did you use for the tesla unit (DODGE LO and SIMPLE??) or did you use a different one?. Now that I have my stock radio and AC controls installed, I notice when I turn my AC on and it's oriented to blow directly to the driver/passenger (front) for a few seconds it blows directly to the feet, but it switches automatically back to the front. I always assumed RAM intentionally did this to avoid getting a direct blow to your face once you turn on your AC. I'm wondering if this is common thing or is just my truck messed up. My first tesla unit before it failed, the first sympton I noticed was it struggled in making the switches with the fan blowing orientation, to the point that sometimes I was not able to make air blow to the front and always was either blowing to the windshield or feet.

I tried changing the 3-button protocol and the temp wouldn't change right. Both units would only display the somewhat useless dual temp. I would also love if they would instead have a low to high range without the degrees being displayed. Temp display does nothing for the dumbed down climate control.

That's funny you mention blowing at the feet for a few seconds then switching. I always run my AC at both feet and face but changed it over the weekend to just the face because it was hot as hell. I have my stock climate controls in right now and mine does exactly what you described. Never noticed it until this weekend.

Thank you!. I was starting to think my truck AC controls were messed up. Best advise to others thinking in getting a tesla unit, never get rid of your stock Radio/AC controls. I almost sold them on Ebay - best decision ever to keep them

Dang this thing is finicky. Today I had all my ducks in a row to give PA a call and discuss the Fan control and the other items and then I got stalled as suddenly google voice stopped working and the audio completely quit on any android app (iHearth Radio, Youtube, Maps, etc). The radio and BT audio still worked but everything else was mute.

After a few reboots and messing around with settings the audio suddenly came back, not really sure at the end what did it. Google voice appeared to be working after I cleared the cache on both the google app and maps, but now after going back to the truck to do some more setup the google voice issue is back and this time all the other things that seemed to fix it in the afternoon won't work. It's behaving like I have no internet connection, however everything else works that requires data.



I am starting to have a WTF moment with this unit. It appears to be very touchy when it comes to setup. I am going to throw some more research at this, but I am getting frustrated with this experience and not sure if I want to keep this unit.

I am sure in a couple of months or so the PX6 issues would be ironed out, but with as many things that have gone wrong in just the last couple of days me trying to get even basic android functionality going, tells me this thing is not ready for prime time yet. Still waiting on my unit to ship from Phoenix. Hounding them again today to find out when it's going to ship. Going on 12 business days. I am hoping my unit will work as well as my last one with the exception of the reset button. Again I don't have many options on my truck so configuring the head unit is quick for me. Climate control and radio has to work. Most of my time will be spent installing apps, configuring carwebguru, and setting up my wireless Apple CarPlay dongle.
