A couple of days ago I stopped to put gas in my 2006 1500 5.7L hemi
Went to go start it and it didn’t
It cranked but wouldn’t turn over
It was -29c with the wind chill so I figured that was the issue
Had to leave it overnight and try and figure out the issue
Tried to boost it the next day, on the gauge it shows it was barely registering maybe around 5-7 volts
So I went to get a bee battery
I got a MagnaCharge battery with 850 cold cranking amps
1100 cranking amps
40 months of warranty, only $175 CAD wicked deal
Anyway, replaced the battery and it started! Couldn’t believe it was so easy!!
Turned it off again and it started
So finally got to drive it home, took about 2 1/2 hours, it drove great the entire way
Shut it off after I got home, triumphantly
Then after about 10 minutes went to start it again, wouldn’t start, showing below voltage again
Tried to boost it and it went to maybe about 9-10 volts
Went I went to crank it then voltage went down!
I know if it’s still not boosting it can’t be the alternator
Checked the starter relay
Can’t figure out why it won’t start this time
