There are several Youtube videos on the Ram auxiliary switch installation & ways to modify the switch panel buttons.

Most 3500s came from the assembly plant with the switch panel installed,
The same aux. panel was used from 2013 to now for the 4th Gen Rams
There are no 5th Gen Heavy Duty Rams, they are still 4th Gen

The Mopar engineers did make 2 or 3 videos about the basic reasons for the switch panel

There are also video on Youtube that show you how to remove the bezel around the radio & insert the Aux. Panel into it

Since you have the Cummins, you already have the auxiliary fuse box, because it is used for the cabin heat relays. You just need to populate that fuse box with the wiring and fuses/relays for the aux switches/outputs. There’s tons of info on that here- https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/aux-switches.97/
