Looking to replace the tires on my 2019 classic 1500. What’s the. Best riding tire? I don’t off-road mostly highway but do have 4 wheel drive, have 20 inch stock wheels. What brand would be recommended. Thanks virgil

coopers at3 are great. used them both on and off road. a little pricey. i dont have the 20's so cant comment on ride quality or sizing for them, but on 17s they rode great. another alternative is check walmart.com for the size you need. they carry a walmart exclusive cooper at tire which is coopers prior run of at3 with a different sidewall design other then that its the same tire but way cheaper. its online only but shipping is usually free.

I run the Cooper AT3 4S on the stock 20 inch wheels and the ride is fine.
you might also look at Michelin defenders.

Yeah the AT3 is a good tire and they have a newer slightly more aggressive AT3 XLT that has some serious siping in it it should do well in rain and snow.

Tire rating is important here, you want a 4 ply for comfort. Then look into not buying an at or mt, you will get more "comfort" from a regular non at tire. Michelins at costco are hard to beat, but there is a thread on most popular tires. To be honest most of them are at least at, which is not what you want if you are looking for most comfort. I would however look hard at best rain rating if you are not going to get an at. As you can see most truck guys use an AT, but a smoother tire will be a smoother ride.

Look into all season as opposed to all terrain aka AT.

Copper AT3 versus all season Mich's, there ya go. Personally, I like the Coopers, but they certainly wont be smoother on the road. Read Here.

They do. Cooper Discoverer hwy tire. Basically an all season tire.

I always liked Mickey Thompson tires, Andy ran them on several Wrangler's and my 99 2500.Loved them but the got to be real costly so I switched out to some other brands. Duratracs, MTR’s Hercules Terra Tracy TrailDiggers, and Trxus MTR’s. When I saw these where on sale I went right back to them and love them, balanced up nicely, not too much road noise, and a very smooth ride. And I believe 40k run out.

Well FYI, Cooper bought them and **** Cepek and from what I read Good year owns them all now, lol. I’ve always like Mickey Thompson as he made his living off road and practiced what he preached.

I am going to always recommend the Nitto Ridge Grapplers because honestly they are by far the best tire I have ran on a truck ...

I have had mine on my truck for 15k miles now and they provide a comfortable ride .... I have rotated them 2 times since I got them so every 5k miles ... in the rain they are great which is one area of concern I had ...

I was going to originally go with the TOYO MTs or the Cooper Discoverer STT Pros because I personally like an aggressive tire and don't mind the road noise at all ..**** I love the noise of aggressive tires lol ...

Plus they also look nice, they have 2 sidewall patterns to choose from and the tread pattern looks good ...
