Iron is fine for a hemi oci with 10k miles, it looks pretty good man imo. If you look closely, clearly the 5w30 is protecting that best. Why was the 5w20 interval less then 1/2 of the others? That 5w30 is hemi honey, did you have piston slap? The aluminum (pistons) is up on the 5w30 runs but engine wear is down, which follows what we know with that oil in the cold. First run is a throw away, you know that right? Young engine as well as first redline run?So, do I worry about the iron? Those 4 runs are all Redline, but different weights, wrote the weight in red

That is what we expect with PUP 0w40, look up hammers uas, identical almost for viscosity. Looks good for the mileage, young engine right now, what shocks me is tbn is already low, not a long interval oil.Just got my first set of results...hopefully I'm smart enough to upload it.
still decent imo, the wear is decent and the tbn is good. cant wait to see m1 run for the compare...It's actually in KM's though, hopefully that doesn't change the picture too much. The 5w-20 was probably just because I was getting ready to tow and wanted a thicker oil at that point.
I do have a knocking on cold starts in the winter time, I've heard it on all 3 variations of RL and it does it with M1 0w-40 as well. Probably just the way the engine is. In the summer it's not as bad but still there. Could be piston slap? Nobody has really identified that sound.
I'm not using m1 permanently, it was on sale and much cheaper than RL this time and RL was out of stock as well so figured I'd see how M1 performs. I don't notice any difference in terms of sounds, both are very quiet (other than that cold start in winter). Will of course post UOA in Oct when I change my oil again.
Me to!still decent imo, the wear is decent and the tbn is good. cant wait to see m1 run for the compare...
if you want info on your interval, you should order tbn which is extra and have decent miles on the oil, like you say five thousand. If you dont care about understanding your interval, just go get a uoa with miles you feel like.I just ordered my kit. Is there a certain amount of miles you should have on the oil before running a report? Are you not suppose to take a sample until say 5000 miles on the oil?
Perfect thanks so much for explanation. No doubt going to get the tbn. This all new to me. Also getting the Quick-draw pump, seems to make the process easier.if you want info on your interval, you should order tbn which is extra and have decent miles on the oil, like you say five thousand. Here's two from my wife's Pacifica with the pentastar....Any Pentastar V6 UOA's available?
(I looked back some and did not see any)
