My Dealership Service Dept said that (as of June 1st) they were only getting 2 Fuel Pump kits per week, and that trucks are on a waiting list, to be called when their numbers up.no the recall hasn't been done yet. Are the parts available?
Check to see if the troublesome CP4 injection pump is covered on the recall. If so they'll replace it with the old reliable CP3. There's a TSB for it. Bosch screwed up. The Fords have the same one.Went and got a 2020 2500 this evening. Hopefully this will be the one that last me til I’m gone. My 1500 did a great job and I put it through the test but now my son gets that and I got this. Big learning curve for me.View attachment 496623
^^^ DITTO ^^^ Gert it done, that crapola CP4 pump design has been known to fail, just saying.Congrats on the truck! They pull so well. But I'd have the same concern at 18crewdually. Make the pump recall part of the sales agreement. Get it done before you drive off the lot.
