Maybe not you, but I've heard it many times before. He's not kidding. Worse, local dealers here consider an appointment the time you start LINING UP to speak to the advisor. If you have a 7:30 for an oil change, that's when the gate at the lot gets unlocked. You get written up int he order you're in line. Your truck gets worked on in whatever order the team leader hands them out to the lube monkeys. You'll be done by 11am, if you're lucky. It's the Ferman way.
Our local dealership won't take lube appointments. I can't afford to get my oil changed at the dealer. The money is inconsequential, but the time cost is extremely burdensome. I can change my own oil faster by far, I know it's done right, and with the correct oil.
