Oh no I seriously considered it but didn't want to build a divorced t case out of the factory 44-44 unit or build new driveshafts.
I even considered an ls swap because I found a supercharged crate ls for 2k cheaper than the 6.4 :eek:
Yupp I have the 8hp70 trans and a challanger 6.4 in my truck. Been strong for roughly 3 years now. I love it. Just need a tune and basic hand tools nothing crazy.
The shaft can feel fine but the needle bearings can bind in eachother under pressure and cause a popping. Seen it before. Usually the shaft binds before that but definately don't rule it out. You can take it off and move the joints around but that proves they're not binding unloads it doesn't...
