4.7L Questions (This engine needs love, too)

They do offer a lot of items for the 4.7, which is nice. But looking on there I have to ask, with the 4.7 that I bought, is there a visual difference between the JTEC & NGC Engines on the outside that I can easily see?

So now the question turns into Do I need to switch to the 08 Cylinder Heads for the intake to fit?

4.7L Questions (This engine needs love, too)

So, I did a search for the original part numbers 53021983AA & 1984AA a Seller on Amazon has them listed for the 02-07, are they correct? But some other sites list them for the 08 but for the Flex Engine. There is confusion starters when looking up these camshafts.

4.7L Questions (This engine needs love, too)

After posting about looking for the adapter, I found it before going to work & hadn't been back on this site to update the discovery. I figured those cam shafts were the ones you were talking about when I saw that they are out of stock. Which is par for the course when I start looking for things...

4.7L Questions (This engine needs love, too)

Alright, silly question time, are the blocks the same, 02 & 08 4.7? Actually, are there any identifying numbers on the block so I can see what year block I just bought. All I was told when I got it that it was a 02 4.7 but I want to make sure. And I just saw that the camshafts listed on...

Thanks for the reply, when doing a search for the adapter, what words should I use besides Throttle Body Adapter? 2002 Adapter? Intake is expensive, I wasn't expecting that high, wow! Now to search for cams

4.7L Questions (This engine needs love, too)

A lot of people can't afford the time or money to swap in a Hemi (like me) and I have no problem keeping my 4.7. But now it's rebuild time with over 250k+ miles on him, he's wearing down. I just picked up a 4.7 for $250 just to rebuild so, I have some questions for it. 1. Nowhere have I found a...

    Emission Hoses or Vacuum Hoses

Turns out it's called the Crankcase Ventilation Hose. It's hard to find, went to a mopar discounted parts website and tried to order the system. Next day I was refunded the money with a email saying it's on backorder. Nothing else stated. Found it on eBay for $47.75 +taxes w/free shipping. For...

    Vibration while accelerating

The problem went away after getting everything fixed. I still need to replace the leaf springs as one leaf is broken and just hanging. I'll take a picture of the spring today and upload it. Currently replacing hoses from another post I made.

    Emission Hoses or Vacuum Hoses

So, the hose that attaches to the back of the Air Box (The box hooked up to the throttle body), then attaches to t "T" that splits to both sides of the engine. I believe they attach to the Valve Covers(no longer called valve covers, I think). Are those are PCV hoses, or vacuum hoses? I can't...

    Vibration while accelerating

It was the combination of the Rack and Tie Rod end that caused all of the vibration. And for future reference, while accelerating from 0-20 mph, almost no vibration. 20-35 mph noticeable vibration and 35 mph & up, a lot of hard vibration. Not noticed in the steering wheel, felt it under my feet...
