Center Console CD harness

I have a 2015 Ram express with a jump seat. I just converted to a floor console. The floor console has a CD player in it. Im looking for the correct wiring harnesses. See pics

I have a harness. It’s for the full console. It will have a few extras because it was for a truck with rear heated seats.

Hello STecoD,
Do you have a picture of the harness? I'll be pulling the truck apart this weekend, so I'll know a little bit better what I need.

So the harness to connect a CD player is already in the truck and all you need is the CD player? What about the other end, is it already connected to the radio?

I have been considering adding a CD player to my 2017. The player is only about $120 but if you order the whole kit it is about four times that.

Yes the connectors were under the drivers seat. I pulled the radio to check before I installed the console. I have upgraded from the 5.0 to the 8.4 with Nav. the harness under the seat must tie into the radios large connector. The CD plater works, but I don't see an CD control on my radio. Always something!

It has to be added either from the dealer or with An aftermarket tool. I added one to my truck.

This was definitely a dealer installed wiring harness. Still don't know why I don't see a disc icon on the radio. I'll have to keep playing and see what I can find. CD player is not a deal breaker, but sense it's there might as well use it.

The wiring is dealer installed but the code needs to be activated to show up in the radio.

My '17 Laramie did not have the cd player. I bought a used floor console for the cd mount in the bin. The harness that connected to the cd player from the used console was different than the harness I had. My harness did not have the branch off plug for the cd player. I haven't completely taken my console out yet. I did plug in the used harness and the cd player just to confirm what I have been reading that the radio will not automatically recognize the cd player and start playing it.

Does anybody know if these cd players will work with the uconnect 5.0 radio I'm wanting to put the console in, and I'm seeing a lot of them with cd players I don't really need it but if it is there and I can make it work why not. Does anyone know if you can activate it with the alpha obd and obd link mx set up.
