So, a bit more research - Hellwig offers a "standard" end link kit mentioned earlier that adjusts from 8-11" meant for stock vehicles/suspensions - our OEM Ram rear links being 11"

https://www.amazon.com/Hellwig-7961-8-11-Adjustable-Endlinks/dp/B001UFXTC0

They also offer a kit for lifted vehicles/suspensions, # 7962, which adjusts from 11-14" I suspect the 7883 kit includes this set of endlinks, which based on measurements and installation of the 12.25" Terraflex endlinks above, these should work fine with 1.5" of coil spring lift. I'd still like to confirm with Hellwig these are the links includes in the 7883 kit, and will do so Monday and report back.

https://www.amazon.com/Hellwig-7962-11-14-Adjustable-Endlinks/dp/B001UFRWBO

In the end, the price of the 7883 kit is basically the same as buying the bar only and adding the Terraflex links, but having adjustable links would be nice for any future upgrades. That being said, the Hellwig links get so-so reviews, plus you have to press in the bushings/sleeves yourself - sometimes simple, sometimes not so much lol.

So I talked to Hellwig, the 7883 "kit" does come with the 11-14" links - so should work fine with 1.5" Coils, as we can set then anywhere from 11-14" - 12-12.5" being the typical length needed. I also asked about the difficulty installing the bushings/sleeves, ie would one need a press, and he said definitely not, with the supplied lube they should slide in with firm hand pressure or once could use a vice if needed, but definitely would not need a press or anything like that.

So, we can order the bar only and links separate, ie moog oem replacement length, terraflex jeep 12.25", etc, or order the Hellwig 7783 kit with bar and 11-14" adjustable links and mounting hardware, for essentially the same price.

I think I'll go ahead and order the kit, so will report back if any issues.

Thanks for the research. Getting the bushings and sleeves in should be fairly easy, just put some grease in the bushing/sleeves and tap them with a hammer, or you could use vice grips, should not be a big deal, they're just sway bar links, there is nothing too special about them, in this case since you're going adjustable, coat the rod ends with anti seize, and make sure the locking nut is tight, other than that, have fun.

Found this thread with a few pics of the Hellwig bar/links setup - they are actually going the other way and talking about lowering vs lifting (the horror lol) but the principle is the same ;).

Just an update, the kits been out of stock for a while, and I was waiting on the coils anyway. But now the coils should here this week. I may go ahead and just get the bar and terraflex links instead of waiting for the kit to come back in stock.

FYI, I did the Teraflex 1754500 ($56.00 on Amazon) and found 10.9 bolts at ACE Hardware (If you can find one) $6.50 they only offered 60 and 80mm in that grade, chose the M12x1.5x60mm and they were "perfect" with the stock nuts torqued to 45lbs.
Only took 20 minutes to install both.
Though it did not change the already fantastic handling upgrade of the Hellwig... It looks much better and peace of mind.

I have the Icons springs with stock sway bar and links, I don't think we need longer links, but i'll take a picture with the sway bar angle later on today and post it for you, so you can compare that to stock. i think if the llift was 2.5" or more then yes, longer links will be needed.

its stiffer or smoother than stock rear springs ?

Thanks for the info on these. They’ll be a good addition to my Hellwig rear bar (and pending Eibach pro kit install).

Got the links, got the bolts and washers but no truck (at stealership for recalls and manifolds). I hope to get this done tomorrow once I get my truck back.

So finally got around to installing this... had some rib injuries so wasn't keen on crawling around under the truck lately lol.

One issue, the aluminum clamps included in no way would work - the ID of the clamps is larger than the OD of the bar. So either Hellwig included the wrong size clamps, or maybe they are some sort of universal clamp that may or may not be needed. I'll call Hellwig to find out the deal.

Also, the 11-14" links are not exactly as pictured, they actually appear to be the standard 8-11" links with an extension. Going to ask about that as well.

I'll try to get some installed pics up soon.

I’ve got some 13” zone/bds links in the for sale section if that size would help

No idea what those alum clamps would be for!?!?! Not Needed for your 2016 install. There are only the 2 bushings (In the middle) that attach the bar to the rear end housing and all the rest is for the adjustable links that bolt on top and bottom. Perhaps something for another year truck? Did you contact Hellwig?

For anyone that might be interested. My Hellwig selection and install saga is located here:

https://www.ramforum.com/threads/helwig-front-sway-bar-on-4x4.115031/page-2#post-1961736

Short story: I bought the 7883 Hellwig kit. Everything bolted up fine. The included end links worked fine. I did not install the alum. locating collars on the bar so do not know if there is a sizing fit issue between them and the diameter of the sway bar. I installed the end links to the shortest length (stiffest, closest to the axle) position, and find that the ride has not suffered at all. That said, I'm a "get around the corner" kinda guy so don't mind a slightly stiffer ride,..but in truth can't say I feel the increased stiffness at all in a ride comfort sense. My 2003 SLT Dodge Quad Cab had a complete Hotchkis sway bar set installed...1.5" inch front and 1" rear and with a 1.5 or 2" drop shackle install in the rear (which leveled it somewhat) it could carve great corners as compared to the stock "no rear sway bar" set up.

FWIW,

T.

They would go on the bar inside of the bushings, at least per the kit instructions.

But, if you buy the bar only (ie not the kit with the adj. sway bar links) those clamps are not included. I'll see what Hellwig says.

OK I talked to Hellwig, I just got the wrong size clamps in the kit apparently, they are sending me out the correct size.

The 7883 kit includes the clamps since it's specifically for lifted trucks. The "bar only" sku 7709 is for stock height trucks where the clamps would not be necessary.

Also asked about the links differing from the photo, they said they changed production recently which is why the bar end looks slightly different, and that it is a 1 piece unit, not an extended piece.

So was able to take a few pics finally while it was up on a lift. TBH I think they adjusted the links a bit too long. I may get under there tomorrow and remove the lower and turn them in a bit... I need to install the replacement clamps anyway. It drives fine, but was under the impression the trailing end of the bar should be level to the ground.

Acutally it's the right/passenger side that looks to be too far down, unless it's some sort of optical illusion. I'll get under and measure and go from there.

it almost appears like they adjusted the for the farther hole, and then someone reminded them I wanted to start in the middle, and they just moved them.
