Hey all!

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 2WD Laramie Longhorn, and I want to put a lift kit on it to accommodate larger wheels. I know it may seem pointless since it is a 2WD, but I am really just doing it for the looks.

Now, the front left wheel area has been having a squeaking issue lately, and I took it to the dealer and he told me that it was the Lower Ball Joint and Upper Ball Joints causing the squeaking noise. He quoted me 1400 to repair the issue. He also said that if I go for a lift kit on the truck, that I should look at something that would replace those parts anyways, so that I would not need to spend that money on getting the issue resolved beforehand.

So basically, I am looking for a suspension lift kit for my truck, preferably 4 inches in the front, 2 in the back, that would take care of this issue at the same time with new parts that would come with the kit.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Thank you to everyone suggesting Maxtrac. Unfortunately our kits (or anyone else's kit besides long travel) will not replace the factory upper and lower ball joints. However, we do offer aftermarket forged aluminum uniball UCA's separate that you can run. So essentially you could go with a 4.5" lift kit, new upper control arms, and then you'd just have to replace your lower ball joints. I would also recommend having your inner & outer tie rod ends inspected. As well as your hubs to make sure those are all sound. It's much easier to replace these things while you have the truck apart and will save you money and time in labor. Please shoot me a message or email if you would like any more info on the products and I'm glad to help you out.

I would have used some of your parts if you made anything for a 2nd gen Ram but I couldn't find anything. I heard a lot about you guys.

I know unfortunately the only thing we offer for the second gen trucks is a 2" coil spacer that fits the 1500/2500/3500 4WD

your truck looks great thanks for the kind feedback!

Now we just need to convince you :D"Maxtrac" to build us some lower control arms. I'd even be the Guinea pig for test fitting. Something around the price range of the UCA.

Dirt king wants 3500 for just control arms and hardware. Then you gotta spend another 1600 for the pair of king shocks to go with it.

I'm not against the prices Dirt king charges, there is a hell of a lot of engineering going on there but my front end isn't doing 5k offroading :driver:

Haha! Totally understand. Unfortunately we will not be offering any lower control arms anytime soon. However, I have a seen a company called "Blitzkrieg Motorsports" that offers a uniball conversion for factory GM 1500 lower arms. I wonder if they could make something for the Ram trucks? It's a pretty cool concept
