3 days ago I remote started my truck and I happened to be close by, it sounded like a sharp metal tapping from passenger side... got quieter as it warmed up. Still heard it when driving next to other cars. Started it up yesterday and it sounds like a ball ping hammer on an anvil but almost diminishes as it heats up. Is it to soon to say exhaust bolts? Lifter? Only 24k miles on my beast ‍♂️ Oil pressure is fine, no missing or backfiring. Just sucks so early in its life lol. 2017 Ram Sport

If it's only in cold starts and quiets down when warm then it could be Manifold bolts, they are a known issue. If your mechanically inclined take a look under your hood at the exhaust manifold bolts they are fairly obvious when broken.
The dealership will know about the issue and can quickly diagnose it, it will be covered under warranty.

Tollis, it’s worse at first start up and any time it’s cooled down. If I turn it off, go grab something quick - restart- I’ll get a few ticks then silences..... there’s always that slight tick but not as loud as when cold. I’m bringing it in wed am. Thanks for the intel
