Just curious how many others here have had issues with tread wear with the Wildpeaks? I put mine on at 4k and now have 28k on my truck. They don't seem to be lasting to well. I maintain proper psi (40) and get a alignment once a year. Think I will need new tires by Summer time. I had Nitro Terra's on my prior Titan and got 60k out of them with no tread life warranty.

That was always an issue with the previous version of the WP’s ... Thought they had it fixed with the new ones ...

You get what you pay for, mileage warranty LMAO.
If you have all documentation from a tire shop with 3k mile rotations, maybe they’ll entertain a severely underperforming set.

Previous gen did not ... The new AT3w’s do ... Pretty sure tire and mattress warranties aren’t worth the paper they are written on ...

Typical "pro rated" warranty would be my guess.

IMHO the biggest problem isnt what they give you as a credit towards a new one, its the fact that you usually have to go to specific places to buy the new tire, which means no deal shopping, which means full price for a new tire which is crazy.

Ive used a manufacturer provided ROAD HAZARD warranty before, and that worked out well for me. But treadwear warranty I dont think Ive ever bothered because I can usually get a good enough price on new tires that the $12.00 they are going to give me pro-rated isnt worth the effort.

The new ones come with a pro-rated 55,000 mile warranty, so you should be about halfway through - how much depth do you have left on the tread?

Brand new the tread is 14/32" deep,* so if you get out there, measure it, and find that it's still around halfway thick after quite a few samples, no worries. I was never a fan of eyeballing for that kind of thing anyway - the data is there and it's easy to measure. Also, note that not everyone is going to experience the same amount of tire life - I know that my habit of tearing along logging roads will likely eat my own tires faster than those found on a typical mall crawler that never leaves the pavement.

* the link assumes you have the 4-ply 265/70R17 115T tires, or base stock tires on 17" rims. The more expensive 121/118 load rating tires are slightly thicker tread-wise.

The 118 C and the 121 E are 18/32"
I'm running the 285x70 E (10 ply) rated on 17" wheels and getting good mileage wear. My brother is running the same on his Ram 3500 Cummins 18" wheels pulling a heavily loaded 28" enclosed work trailer 100% of the time and also getting good wear.

I have heard the P (14/32", 4ply) rated are not doing as well.

EDIT:
We both feel the Wildpeaks are the best traction tire, in all conditions, that we have ever tried. IMO their performance is worth any mileage loss (if there is a mileage loss).

I have the 115s; just got them back in October (I think? Somewhere around then). I got to try them in rain multiple times and on ice once (coming back from week-before-last), and they hold up amazingly well (probably too grippy since I didn't realize I was on ice until I saw another car fishtail a little, and realized that a wet road at 20 degrees F was probably iced-up...)

I did notice that I lost around 2mpg on average with them, but given how well they've held up in crap conditions so far, I can live with the slight loss, and I'm still doing 22-23mpg unladen, no sweat.

Mine only have about 10k or so on them but still look brand new. For the price, if I got 40k out of them I'd be happy. If that were the case, I'd probably be trading the truck in before needing a new set. Got 48k out of my last set of bfg's without doing rotations and while doing some burnouts here and there. Was definitely happy to get that much out of them, but they are pricey. Now I don't have as sporty of a truck and don't really spin the tires too much so I think I'll be able to make it on these til my next truck.

I have come to the conclusion that my truck (an me driving it like a car) will eat any tire I put on it.

It does appear mine (stock size) are wearing pretty quick as well.

I think the warranty is only for workmanship/defects BTW

Overall I am happy with them, if they do wear fast I may try a different tire when these are done.

I had AT3W in 285/70/17 P rated in my Silverado, and 315/70/17 E rated in the RAM. P rated ones were wearing down 1/32 every 3.5k miles. E rated ones were wearing down 1/32 every 5k miles.
P were 13/32 brand new, E rated were 19/32 brand new, Doing a simple math, (assuming i'll run my tires until they have 3/32 left) i was going to get 35k miles out of the ***** rated ones and about 80k miles out of the E rated ones. Americas Tires told me i needed to wait until they wore down to 3/32 to use the warranty on the P rated ones. I ended up with close to 20k miles on the 315's before i replaced those with KO2's in 37x12.5x17 so i didn't get see the theoretical 80k miles projection. Nothing wrong the tires i just wanted bigger ones.

I sold the Silverado a few weeks ago so i didn't have to bother with the tires anymore but after 28k miles i only had 5/32 left in them. i won't be getting another set of them in P for sure But i'll run the E all day long

A guy I work with runs the Nitto Terra Grapplers, says they are very quiet and he gets 80K + between changes
3/4 ton diesel. I will be trying a set next spring
