What's the depreciation on your house after that 30 year note is paid off?...Just curious if you're making money if you resell it or losing half it's value? I think you're comparing apples and oranges. That being said, I think the OP has already made up his mind, and as others have already said, you have to do what's best for your own situation. I'm certain if financing for 24 to 36 months was an option he would have gone that route.I like to think of it this way...I'm basically paying a 30 year loan for my house, so 7 or 8 years for a great vehicle doesn't seem too bad by comparison.
$38K US is about $62K Canadian fyi after exchangeTempted, first of all and most importanly IMHO is where did they come up with the $62K MSRP? Good Grief, I can find you MSRP quotes of near $38K for that vehicle (yes, that even includes the 3.6L V-6 engine AND 5 tires). Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
I'll take a guess... You can't beat a deal from Peel?I said the same thing man, they are a huge dealer here in Ontario they move 300 rams a month. I guess they can afford a bigger incentive, plus the guy I dealt with wanted a bonus so he took a bit more off the truck so he says anyways, lol.
But I’ve seen the quote done up as I live in a different province I will have to fly up and drive home. Still saving enough money to do that.

Nope, that's where my 19 classic came from. They were just over 11k cheaper for exact same truck after all rebates and incentives factored in, than I could get from 2 of the ram dealers in Sudbury.Well can you

I figure I could drive the 450km south in my 17 jeep renegade trailhawk 2.4L for a bit less than $11k in gas.... Lol
Customer service there is awesome, but I didn't care much for my salesman after signing on the line. But I don't think you few to worry about him, he got demoted to used car sales in a different building.

I always swore I'd never go with an 8yr note. Never even want to do a 6yr for that matter. But, at 0%, I look at it this way. If I've got the money to double up on payments, it's really a 4yr loan with 0% interest. God forbid myself or a family member gets hurt or sick, or ends up out of work for some reason, I could drop down to the original low monthly payments until things get better. Just because you're not required to make an $800/mo payment, doesn't mean you can't just to get ahead. Then drop back to the lesser payment when necessary.
