Has anyone else's dash turned into a sticky pad?

I live in Baytown. Born and raised here. Aside from a year in New Jersey, I’ve been here all 40 of my years

I live in the Devinwood subdivision on Hwy 146. We should meet up.

After cleaning mine with plexus all the stickiness is gone..... Kind of expensive but works awesome.

If plexus works, Pledge should as well and a lot cheaper (i like the orange scent myself or plain. Lemon acts like citronella. Orange does not)

Know this from an old trick of using pledge as a substitute for plexus to clean & micro scratch fill motorcycle shields and visors.

I just washed my truck and was trying to get some dog hair off my dash and noticed I couldn't get it off. Then on closer inspection I noticed there plastic pieces on the dash that are getting hit by the sun are incredibly sticky. I mean if I touch it... my finger literally sticks to it... and I just can't get the hair off. Truck is still under warranty as it's a 2018 but what a joke that it can't handle the uv light / heat.

This may be an issue with the plastic that was used to form the dashboard. The technicians who were forming it may have forgotten to add in the UV/AO additive.....and the sun has now damaged the plastic. You might need to take it in to the dealer and complain about it.

Yeah I'm definitely going to do that when I get it in for the tailgate recall

I bought a bottle over 3 years ago and it's still pretty full. A little goes a long way.

Might literally be the ugliest and worst idea I have ever seen for a vehicle. Buy a Windshield reflector and save from having to put that in your vehicle. Now if you didnt use the reflector and your dash looks like a bag of doritos, then yes, do that dash carpet. But oh man, try to avoid that if you can.

Lmao this reminds me of a dude wearing a toupee, thinking it looks amazing and nobody knows, but secretly everyone is laughing at him. This is exactly what this dash mat is.

As someone who had his dash literally shatter when it was otherwise pristine, the dash mat was a great option. Later they started using molded plastic caps that looked factory-ish which are a better option IMO.

A dashmat with some fake chrome vents from autozone would be super custom!
