Hey guys! My ram is currently running 35x12.5 with a 2.1 bilstein level on the front. My build sheet also shows a stock 1 inch lift ( no idea why).

Anyways I'm looking for a 4" lift
I'm on a budget but would also like to take in my options! Feel free to educate me! I dont need the best but I definitely don't want the worse.

She's a road queen but I do enjoy going off road if I find a spot.

Regardless hope everyone is healthy!

Zone has a 4” kit with a strut spacer, which you could reuse your current bilsteins. I have heard good things about zone, for the price point.

Hit up Nick at Got Exhaust on the forum here. He has great deals on the Zone equipment, and you just can't go wrong with it.

Zone 4”F/3”R w/bils at 1.4” .... Rides/handles great .... Won’t break the bank .... Slides in 7’ garage door w/35’s .... And perfectly fine for the occasional offroad trip81f4f44e66240004d0b92db2af331223.jpg

I Highly recommend the Zone or superlift kit. Both are quality and ride great.

Message me if we can help and provide you with a quote

I had a nice long new post ready and then saw this thread, which answered several questions. Very timely. My research so far has led me to the exact setup BowersFJ lists above: Zone 4" lift (3" rear) with Bilstein 5100s to level the front. I guess the same could be done with the Zone 6" lift (5" rear). But, I think that would look like too much wheel well given that I plan to stick to 35s.

I am a bit ignorant of shocks/struts and have a couple of related questions.

If I have found correct info, my 2015 4x4 has twin-tube shock absorbers in front and rear. With the truck so low, I it hard to see under it well. It looks like coil-over shocks in the front and then separate shocks and springs in the rear. The Zone suspension lifts for my truck are "strut spacer lifts". So, does the truck have struts too? I thougt shocks and struts were an either/or deal.

The Zone page lists rear shocks options to add on to the kit. That initially made me think they are an optional upgrade. But, I just read their "Learn More" blurb and it seems to say replacing all four shocks is required. Can someone confirm that? Are the Fox Adventure rear shocks on the Zone page a good choice? Does anyone strongly prefer an alternative? I need to be able to go offroad infrequently without worry. I don't do crazy trail driving or anything. I also want my truck to be able to carry weight in the bed without squashing flat. But, I guess the stiffness comes from the springs.

If Bilsteins extend the front, doesn't that let the springs stretch more and soften the front ride feel?

You need to be able to go offroad infrequently or frequently without worry? :)
Adventures are the cheapy Fox steel body shocks, can't be serviced, can't be revalved. You're paying for the name. If you want to save 5100's are cheaper.

Don't know much about lifting with brackets as I'm not a fan but I pay attention to what's out there. I'll let the bracket lift resident experts give you the run down.

How do Fox Adventure compare to factory shocks? Aside from being cheaper, how do 5100s compare? I'm not clear on whether you are saying Fox Adventure are not worth the money due to buying the name and not getting much in return, or if you are saying I really need to buy something better.

The adventures are better than factory and at least valved a little better than the more street oriented 5100. If you're not offroading much you can save some dove buying 5100's and yes you can have those in the dirt. You won't notice the difference between both driving on the fwy. You should notice the improvement if you took the truck to a fire road. Pay a little more and get performance ones, they can be serviced and revalved. Fox charges $75 to rebuild them.$35 to revalve them.

What is better than 5100s that are also height adjustable?

6112's, Fox 2.0 CO, Falcon Struts. Last you can't get just the fronts so you have to buy the entire kit.

Thanks for the help. I understand the 6112s or Fox 2.0 Coil-Overs are better. But, wow, the price!

Fox 2.0 Performance seem close in price to 5100s. If using one of these up front, are the factory springs re-used?

I think you're looking at the wrong thing :). The Fox 2.0 coilovers that you can fit in the front of the 4x4 trucks are $400 and change each. 6112's are slightly cheaper and best bang for your bucks compared between the two.

What you can do to achieve a little more lift with your current 5100's to compensate for the heavy bumper you have is either get 1/2 spacer, or Eibach front springs, and you can even combine both running those eibach springs on the 2nd notch with the 1/2 top spacer. you should get around 2.75 to 3" that way.
For the back you can run the Icon 1.5", that should add about 1" more on top of your stock coils. With the cap you have you're eating 1/2-3/4" of your stock coils because of the extra weight, so with better coils like the Icons you will restore that and get an extra 1" bump in the rear.
