I've had 3 Dakota's, '95, '99, and 2001. I've also had 4 Harleys, 96 Super glide, 98 Heritage Softail, 2000 Ultra Classic and a 2013 Triglide. Loved them all!

Though it isn't really semantics with the known style/construction differences; even Mopar Sure Grips weren't the same across all years. Then again a true Mopar fan might know that lol.

View attachment 249192 View attachment 249193 View attachment 249194. My son's first car, 1983 Shelby Charger and my first new truck, 1995 Dodge Ram.
Bought the Charger for my son's first car, paid $500 for it and spent around $300 for the paint and he and I painted it. He was more proud of that car than his friends were of their new car that mommy and daddy bought for them. The Dodge truck was my first new truck I ever had. I still remember the look on my wife's face when I painted stripes on a 2 week old vehicle. Took her a long time to realize I'm not happy with a vehicle that looks like everybody else's vehicle. Never a fad follower, always went out on my own!

PXL_20210529_174047071.jpgA kinda funny story when I owned this truck. I had painted these stripes on this truck when I first got it and one night I meet my wife at our son's football game because she was already there and I went there later after I got off work. After the game was over we was walking out to our vehicles when I informed her I had to leave in a hurry. Let's just say nature was calling and I didn't have much time, (bathroom). I had about 7ish miles to get home and the closer I got the bigger hurry I was having to be in. I turned left on the highway we lived on going sideways and there was 2 cars in front of me that wasn't in a hurry as I was so I had to pass them and about the time I was getting back over there was a car coming head on with me. As soon as I looked down I was running 90 mph and seen the car I met was a policeman. Well he flipped around in the middle of the road and I only had about 2 miles to home so I let it eat.... I was already in trouble and couldn't stop because of nature calling anyways! I was able to get to the road we lived on, turned all my lights off and got to my driveway when I heard the siren seen the blue lights going past and headed further down the road after me, parked around back of my house and ran to the "little boys room". My wife came home didn't see my truck so thought I wasn't home yet and when she came in me being there scared the you know what out of her. After I told her what had happened and how I think I got lucky getting away she said "Yea, they'll never find a red truck with white stripes on it" Nothing but silence but somehow I did! Thank God!

I've had mostly Mopars since I got my first car in 1975 at 14 years old. It was a 1964 Chrysler 300 with a bad transmission. Was my dad's old commuter car that he used after that to pull stumps out of the back yard. I've had muscle cars, FWDs, wagons, trucks and other things. Currently I have a 1960 Chrysler 300F, 1960 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country, 1964 Dodge Polara 500 convertible, 1964 Dodge 440 wagon, 1968 Barracuda Formula S 383 4-speed, 3 Dodge Rampages, 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan GT, 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser,
1973 Dodge Hall GTC motorhome and a 1979 Dodge Brougham Travel Van. I also have a 1978 GMC Suburban but that has been replaced by my new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4. The Suburban will be sold.
