Hate to say it but I still think it is a balance issue. I have seen it many times with 35s or larger tires. I had on set that would never balance, replaced the tires with same size and make at original shop at no additional cost and never had a problem again.

Once I had to go through 4 sets of tires to get rid of my (Bounce). Problem was finally diagnosed as tires out of round just over spec set by manufacturer. Stay after your tire store until you get satisfaction. Time was my biggest problem, it took almost 4 months. Tires finally were great past 120 MPH

The u-joints in my 15 ram 1500 were dry at around 70k causing a shake on the highway, dealer said they were fine so I had to check myself and they were junk

How can I tell if they are dry? Do I pull the caps off and check the pins?

Have you had them do a "Speed Balance"? Tires, as they wear do not stay balanced at all speeds and this is usually noticed around 60. During the speed balance, the machine will keep running until the weight is distributed throughout all four tires. This will help stop the vibration when you drive over 60mph.

Yes, I have a 2 inch level. I sit 1 1/2 above stock height.

LOL ...more new info. Does it act differently when you put it in 4x4? You can try it on a straight stretch of highway (not curved).

Well, shocks will cause a vibration. I had this happen on my 18 Ram 1500 with a 3" lift. Put new 20x10 wheels with 35" tires, vibration was felt. Ordered new wheels cause the wife didn't like the way it looked. Still had a vibration. I did numerous alignments, balance and road force balances. Still had vibration. Bought new stock size tires. Still had it. New extended thread lug nuts. No change. Bought another set wheels, same issue. Put new 4600 Bilstien for the front, vibrationalmost gone. Rear Rc shocks started to leak. Didn't want to spend $400 for rear shocks from Bilstien due to 2" rear lift. Did some research and found 2013 ram 2500 2wd rear shocks are 2" longer that stock 1500 shocks. Put new ones on and it rides so much nicer.

Yea I ordered some fox shocks. I’m hoping that will fix the issue. If not, I will probably be taking it to the shop i go to when I am not able to fix it on my own. For some reason I’m getting a sense that it has something to do with my steering. There are a couple scratches on my headers where they run next to eachother. So I feel it may be loose or bad bearing in the column.

In my old truck, this was the universal joint for the rear drive shaft. It started at about 40mph and became most pronounced around 55. If they're completely toast, you'll probably see grease thrown all around. I replaced mine with Moog joints which had zerk fittings on them.

if this does not fix it i would go to another tire shop and have them rebalance your tires
Wouldn't hurt to see if they may be out of round. Have you tried putting that tire on a different position on the truck to see if it moves with it? If that happens it has to be related to that particular wheel/tire combination. It could come down to replacing that particular tire.

Sorry ....I keep forgetting it's 2wd. 2wd trucks almost don't exist around here ...so I default to thinking 4x4 trucks all the time -- I gotta stop doing that!!! :banghead:

Watch these, esp the 1st one. I had some new 265/75/16 10-ply truck tires balanced at Walmart a cpl wks ago (bought at Walmart.com). Those jokers put a ton of weights on them. Too many IMO. I knew those tires didn't need that much weight. IDK if their balancer was out of calibration or what. I stopped at the GM garage on my way home (wheels were in back of my other pickup). They R/F balanced (& rim matched) and cut the walmart balancing #'s in half on all of the 4 tires (from ~35 to 15-17 lbs), and about 1/6th of the weight Walmart had on them. They run out great. On large, heavy tires it's esp critical:

As I mentioned before you need to go to a place that fully understands how to use the Road Force process. Some shops hardly ever do it and the tire guys may not be properly trained.

I hope it helps you eliminate your vibration issue.

Shocks won't CAUSE a vibration. Good shocks will dampen the vibration and bad shocks won't stop it. Simple logic, rotating and moving parts cause the vibration, the bad shocks let it be felt.

I originally had them around 38. So I then bumped it up to 42, then 45, then 50. There was no change in the bounce so I dropped it back to around 42.
Make sure that you are adjusting the PSI's to the weight of the front and rear of the truck. I have Firestones and they have a chart with weights and PSI. My front tires on my dually is set at 60 and back tires are set at 36 per the chart and I'm getting close to 50k miles on XT's. Also check tires after any place works on them, they tend to air the tires to max PSI (my max is 80 PSI).

2 things:

Have your tires road force balanced. Our Discount Tire can do it. Or find someone who can balance them on the truck. That will take into consideration the shocks and suspension. Slipped belt or driving on gravel roads or hit a road hazard and broke the inside can also be a cause. I personally run Michelin LTX on my trucks. Also, the oversize tires can be a cause. The bigger the diameter, the bigger the headache. Find someone who has been balancing tires for 20 years and you will find your answer.

Shocks is No 2. The new ones will wear out and not give the bounce like back in the good old years. You are due for them anyway.
